Question: where will the interview be done?

I also live in Santa Clarita and got a call a few hours ago for my interview at the Sherman Block Building which is in Monterey Park so I?d assume that would be the same instance for you. Hope that helps.

QUICK UPDATE: Got the phone call and got asked supplemental questions (pretty much reviewed what was on my application) on 4/30, followed by training approval email on 5/07. Submitted training and proficency forms on 5/15. Now awaiting for pick up date.

Time line (RENEWAL):
3/28 - Renewal app/docs submitted
4/30 - Call received; app reviewed and submitted for approval
5/07 - Training Approval Email
5/15 - Training Cert and Proficiency Form submitted

This morning, I called LASD for a status update.

I had dropped off my application at Temple City station on July 6, 2022. I have not yet received a call for an interview.

I had asked for a status update in November 2022, and was told that my application was received and entered into the system, but not yet assigned to a deputy.

I started livescan on Feb 2023, and emailed the livescan application to LASD; they did not respond. I passed the 3 sections of livescan with a week.

I preemptively completed the training yesterday and emailed the certificate to LASD this morning.

When I called LASD this morning to ask for a status update, my call was answered after one ring. The person checked my name and said that my application is assigned to a deputy. She said they are now processing applications entered into their system in july-august 2022, and that my application was entered into the system in October 2022 (I had dropped it off on July 6, and my check was cashed in one week).

You also submitted one day before I did July '22, but my check was cashed two months later. Based on your "Oct" entry date, that's making me nervous I might not have been "entered" into the system till Dec. Maybe I should call too.

Hey man I don't know if this is relevant but I live in Granada hills I mailed mine out a year ago and interviewed in Santa Clarita. But again this was a long time ago and things probably have changed

I'm thinking of calling, too, but hate to bog them down and hoping your info can give me some insight on where I stand in the meantime, lol.

You are just going to have to resubmit your training docs when they ask for it again FYI. Bring them to your interview as well

Update regarding change of address on CCW.

Originally submitted change of address on 3/20/22. Received a prompt "documents received, we will call you when we have availability for you to pick up updated permit" email the same day.

5/17 I emailed for an update as I have not received a call yet. They reiterated when they have availability they will, but my current permit with old address is still valid

I have a friend that got a P320 through the single shot exemption method a little while back, before the in roster CA320 single shots from Franklin and 2AZone were a thing.

Would there be a problem adding them to LASD CCW, or any potential legal ramifications on doing so?

From what I?ve read other CalGunners post, it appears they are not accepting SSE guns for CCW
