I've been to both for ink fingerprinting, both are done by police recruits. Metered parking for both.

Cerritos PD stated I must provide fingerprint card... can anyone confirm if this is the correct one?

Cerritos College police provided the cards at no additional charge.

How long ago did you get it done? It said on the website that we have to provide our own fingerprint cards.

oh wow.. cool.. I'll head down there next week and get the ink cards ready.. so as soon as I pick up my CA CCW, I can sent out the AZ CCW packet right away!

Lol on the other guy. Congrats on the interview yours is another case that throws me off. I applied in April as well, had my interview in Sept and I'm still waiting for my training email. Absolutely no form of rhythm that we can gauge...

Where did you interview? And have you done your livescan yet? My suggestion would be don't do the training to speed things up just yet. Wait a few months to see if the timeline gets better

The interview was in Monterey Park. I did my live scan in the beginning of November but I forgot to mention that to the deputy. I wonder if that will help?

I'm not sure if it helps or not but I remember taking a screenshot of my completed livescan from the website with the dates and emailed it to the interviewing deputy so she knew it was completed and to push it to the next person to possibly grant me my constitutional right....

Hey guys hypothetically speaking as I'm still waiting on my proceed to training email how does LASD inform of a denial? Is it mail? Call? Or email. I don't have anything that would deny me but just curious as I'd like to get legal lined up if that happens. Sorry I'm a planner in everything lol

From what I have seen so far, most denials are via actual mail. They mail you the denial letter and the reason for the denial. But most of them happen post-Bruen. I have not seen any denials from here or any other counties after Bruen, well let's just say nobody has posted there's yet

Don't tell me you plan to do that after what we have gone through these past 2 years. For me I would not want to go through dealing with LASD until I really have to when I have to renew my permit.

Holster question

In the process of scheduling the CCW training and thinking of going to Security Training Center/The Firing Line in Burbank.
I was reading their list of things to bring and noticed they include a holster.
Just wondered whether a holster is mandatory or optional for anyone who has done their CCW training there.
I have a S&W M&P Shield and haven't decided what type of CCW holster to buy for it yet.
Any info would be appreciated. TIA

I actually went to firing line in Burbank and walked out an hour into it... The first hour was straight uscca advertising promo with one of their sales people...

I turned right back around and booked with VIP CCW services. Most of it is online via zoom and remaining is the safety portion and firing (in person) obviously
I was very very happy with them. Every chance I get I talk people out of the firing line. If a person doesn't value my time and makes me sit through an hour of advertising sales lecture like a time share they do not deserve my money...
