got an email this morning from the CCW unit and got all excited only to find out that they are requesting another copy of my utility bill. Maybe because the only I submitted at the time of interview was from May. Anyway, its something... I sent back an updated bill and hopefully I hear back soon...

due to my address change, im creeping up on 16 months, not sure why the deputy has not been responding, im sending weekly friendly reminders,,,, just want to get this DONE!!!!

I'm sure training date is next step, so it shouldn't be more than a few weeks until i pickup right?

Yeap should be soon. Looks like someone above with a training rec docs on 10/6 just got called. So maybe another 10 days or so for us.

Received my "proceed to training" email today. Here is my timeline:

10/31/21: Filled out application & mailed
8/24/22: Received a call for interview
8/31/22: Had interview, had livescan
9/03/22: Found out the status of my livescan this morning:
CA Completed - 09/01/2022
FBI Completed - 09/01/2022
Firearms Completed - 09/03/2022
Received proceed to training email: 11/8/22

Has any one had there livescan completed and cleared before they went into the interview? If so how long was it until the proceed to training email?

With Respect, I am confused. You said you sent you docs in 10/18 but also that you have been waiting 8 week. Im not trying to say I gotcha. Im just trying to follow along as we have a similiar time line and I dont want any of us to miss "the call"

you are right! I sent it in Sept 18, it's been 8 weeks -My mistake -
But today i did get a call requesting a new utility bill- saying the one they have was not current- it has been a while -
So I sent them my water bill, electric bill and trash bill.

The call came from a listed number from the deputy.

At least I know they are working on it - hopefully soon.

The million dollar question, if I got my permit from LASD but now LAPD is giving permits can I still renew with LASD or do I have to get a permit from LAPD since I'm in their jurisdiction?
