My livescan cleared 08.06 from taking it 07.12, now I am waiting for a proceed to training and trying to make up my mind on what other pistol I should add to my permit. G26 has my heart but the P2000 is calling my name

How long ago did you turn in your training paperwork? What time of day did they call? Just curious.. I'm in and out of meetings all day, going to need to figure out how to pick up that No Caller ID number when it comes

Right on, thx for the info. ~4 weeks after the received email comes back(if you get that)seems to be the norm. I'll be ready early next week

Thats amazing and lucky, its taking most people 2 months. I'm nearly 4 weeks out on mine.

8/1 only 7 days to clear all three.

Just a quick update. I received a call to pick up my permit on 8/17/22 at 7:10am at the LASD in Monterey Park.

Process took 1 year 6 days. I applied back in August 2021.

Sucks for people who waited after August that now have to apply to LAPD, if applicable. Word is LAPD are purposely delaying accepting applications until the CA DOJ rewrites the application, but CA DOJ is waiting until after SB 918. A lot of California gun owners mistakenly believed that bill to have been DOA. Classic California normalcy bias. We'll know more this Thursday, I believe. Until then, one simply cannot apply and if you haven't applied yet, you're SOL for a while.

Is there a lawsuit here? Seems to be denying the right to even apply, which surely cannot be ok.

Right now they use Bonta as cover, since they are having to revise the application, which gives them an excuse (not very good one, but still)
