I highly doubt a holster is required for any gun, it wasn't at Burbank.

@Stoogescv mine was pretty much commute related. GC was pretty much I get called out at all hours of the night (rarely) and sometimes it happens that it's late at night or very early morning. So i would say it's commute related

Is it helpful to add multiple good cause reasons.

I own a business in Los Angeles as Production company including graphic design and photography I carry multiple 10000s of dollars in equipment. I’ve been followed home before and had to drive past my house and make multiple turns through my neighborhood to shake off follower. I was driving home one night, too slow for the person behind me and they pulled next me and threatened to ‘put a bullet in my head”.

I’m also a scuba instructor and sometimes arrive at port off boat late at night with multiple 1000s of dollars in dive equipment.

I’m an avid camper. Outdoors enthusiasts with my family. I purchased an Travel trailer 2 years ago and have camped in remote locations eg salton sea, sequoia, Joshua tree. I’ve also hiked in those places miles from camp into remote locations without cell service. I have expensive items, like scooters motor cycles. Ive be aproched by strangers inquiring about prices of my items. I’ve had people rummage through my campsite at night looking for items, eg Faria State beach and Hobson in Ventura and Luckily I pack all my high ticket items in the car at night. Not so lucky for the camper beside me. Had their bike and generator stollen. Not sure if these folks have weapons or firearms.

Not sure if I should focus on one specific topic or is have multiple a better chance of getting approved.

Your business related reason and the fact that you were followed (which you should include in your good cause statement) will probably be your strongest case for needing the permit. Be specific about those instances when you were followed and try to provide as many details as you can recall. Include copies of all your business licenses and any documents that shows you're running a legitimate business and not something you just made up.

Thanks for filling me in. That's great. It probably won't matter in a couple of weeks if we get the Court decision we are hoping for that does away with all "good cause" requirements, but it could continue to be important depending on what the majority says about the ability to restrict "sensitive locations" for those who commute by bus/subway/train/bike, etc.

Has anyone recently gotten their good cause denied?
My cousin just did his interview a month or so ago and got the impression that the good cause was largely irrelevant to the interviewer.

Glendora Police Department to begin Issuing to Glendora Residents

Some great news to report after a long & hard 8 year fight:

The City of Glendora/Glendora Police Department will begin accepting CCW applications from city residents beginning mid-August 2022. Fees for initial application are to be $130 app + $20 LiveScan. There will be NO Psych Exam required ($150). So this, plus cost of in-class and range qualification will be the total cost for a 2 year permit.

Regardless of what comes from SCOTUS re: NY Rifle v. Bruen, I have been told Chief Egan will be issuing in a de-facto 'shall issue' manner. I hope SCOTUS makes this moot but even if we get screwed, I am confident that it will be much better for Glendora residents to apply directly with Glendora PD than LASD where 80% of the applications are still being denied. Hope for all of you too, SCOTUS does the right thing and this g-d "Good Cause" bull goes the way of the dodo bird.

I realize I've had some strong words for y'all as I'm no fan of AV whatsoever. But our common goal is shared and I hope all of you know I ultimately fight for that. So, I wanted to share this bit of good news regarding my city of Glendora. Means a lot to me personally as I have fought long and hard for this with the City over the past 8 years.

                          It's finally happening...

Hopeful that NYSRPA V BRUEN results in no longer needing a calendar year and hundreds of dollars for a CCW. Good luck all who are still waiting. Hang in there.
