Where did you get 4 weeks? He said they acknowledged receipt of his training certificate May 3. Today is May 17. That's two weeks.

Go read the previous post. He said in mid April.

The 2-4 week processing timeframe runs from when the CCW team receives the final training paperwork, not from when they send the email to go get training. From my email when they acknowledged receipt of paperwork: "Firearm training and certificate received. You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license. The approximate wait time after this last step of the process is two to four (2-4) weeks. Thank You for your patience."

You are correct...This here is the correct date...the clock officially starts...when the sheriff's dept. sends out the official E-mail stating that they received your training paperwork for processing ... In which the date was may 3rd...so up to two more weeks for processing..June 3rd is the very end...for processing..

Applied to LAPD in 2009 and was denied. The independent commission argued that the decision should be overturned and my permit granted, but it was again denied by LAPD chief.

LASD confirmed receipt - July 12, 2021
Interview, told to Livescan - October 28, 2021
Livescan - October 28, 2021
LS CA & FBI Completed - Oct 28, 2021
LS Firearms Completed - Nov 10, 2021
Firearms training completed before being told, and emailed - Feb 5, 2022
LASD emailed confirmation that they received the training certs - Feb 8, 2022
LASD emailed requesting my ATI number and date Livescan was done - Feb 12, 2022
Additional Good Cause data was submitted to LASD via email - Feb 15, 2022
LASD calls to verify some statements on my Good Cause, and told to wait for either a letter in the mail, or a call to proceed to training (though I had already submitted that, but I didn't press it) - April 20, 2022

Guys, please see stories like this and realize how much the circumstances have changed for us CCW hopefuls in the last year. Yes, it still takes too long, and yes the process requires a ton of patience and is a bit infuriating, but we've come a long way.

I just picked up. My timeline is probably not a good representation of the process. I originally missed my call for interview. It took me about a month of calling to get a hold of my interviewing deputy. I ended up interviewing about a month after the missed call. After my live scan I had followed up once and almost didn’t follow up a second time. I’m glad I did though. Apparently I had not only missed the proceed with training email, but I must have accidentally deleted it. I receive and send multiple emails per day. I guess this one slipped through. I was informed that I had been sent a proceed with training back in January. Fast forward to today I picked up.

Trust me I know, I've received the same email. 2-4 weeks is how long it takes after they have recieved your docs. The other guy said he sent the docs in April then after he said he sent it in May. Mine took about 3 weeks afer they received my docs.
