Wouldn't have changed your fate but you would've saved money. It's better to wait to be told to proceed before spending any money. They should have told you at the time of your interview rather than you waiting a year ..... That sucks dude ..

That's insane ...... If you have a GC other than red/light red you really have to have a well crafted statement and prove it with everything you got.. You would think people would be getting approved because of the crime rate.

I think you hit the nail on the head, it is about how the statement is written. It would be nice if there was a running list of what LA County has accepted and issued as good cause with the personal information scrubbed.

That can't happen in most jurisdictions by definition because most require you to show that you personally are at greater risk than the general population. Thus, no matter how bad general crime statistics get, as long as everybody is at risk, "no permit for you"!

Was given Livescan form after interview, did not get an email to proceed with training.

Last update before denial was deputy calling me for additional info such as recent match history.

If I already gone through the interview and live scan is in progress but have not gone through training, can I still change the firearms on the application?

A question for those that have submitted their CCW application.
I live in the Los Angeles area and had my CCW application interview at the LA County Sheriff's Department Headquarters in Monterey Park back on 11/19/2021. I believe it went very well.

My applicant background status completed on the below dates.

Completed 11/22/2021 = CA
Completed 11/19/2021 = FBI
Completed 12/14/2021 = Firearms

It has been several months now and I am still patiently waiting for that phone call/email from LASD letting me to know to proceed with my firearms training, but have not received it yet.

I have called several times and spoke to the Admin person and she assured me that my application is being processed.

Should I call again to get the status of my application?
Should I email the Deputy who interviewed me?

Some people receive their training email the day of livescan completion and some receive it several months later.

Were you given the go to complete your livescan or you just did it anyways and what is your GC color?
