I'm a big believer that when you are dealing with ANY bureaucracy, it's best to make it as easy as possible for them to do their job the way you need.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

        CCW Update

        Hi All,

Quick update. I applied back for a CCW with LASD in August of 2021. Still waiting; however, in the meantime I applied for a CCW (Sept, 6 2021) out of Nevada and Utah, and was issued a permit two weeks ago. Took just about 4 months. Also, Applied for an open carry from BSIS (Passed the 185 personality exam) and was issued my open Carry back in October of 2021. That Took about tw months. I went ahead and submitted my permits to be included in my LASD application CCW. MY GC is Business which we cover a number of activities (including but not limited to Real Estate Transactions/Property Showings in not so good neighborhoods (dealing with homeless trespassing and threats), Skip Tracing, Private Celebrity Security, Event Promotions which I collect a bunch of cash per event, Threats (with police reports as proof). Also have been followed home with an attempt to Rob after an event (police report as proof). Was it a good idea to include my other permits with my application, or was it not necessary? Please let me know your thoughts

Yes you need to, in the application it also ask if you have any other CCW permits and you should've listed them.

Completely unnecessary and they might think you're some gun freak now.
ATF Form 4473: If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver, not a handgun or long gun.

@localpew, My fault, I wasn't clear. At the time of application, I did not have my permits. I applied for the permits after submitting to the LASD, and recently received them. This was all done after I submitted my application. Application was submitted and confirmed receipt on August 4th. I apply for the open carry woth BSIS and CCW out of Nevada, on September 4th. (One month after) and just was issued. Received Open Carry in 10/23/21 and CCW (Nevada/Utah) on. 1/4/22. I was asking because at the time I did not have the permits. Now that I have them, was it OK to asked that it be included in my file. Would it even help my me in being issued?

I doubt it will matter one way or the other, but mention it in your interview.

It does, but it specifically asks about CCW "Carry Concealed Weapon" which is California specific. Utah doesn't even have licenses they have permits.

                            The question asks:

Do you now have, or have you ever had, a license to carry a concealed weapon (CCW)? If yes, please enter the issuing agency name, issue date and CCW license number. Use additional pages if necessary.

I think if they were only asking about California licenses, they would have added "in California." They were likely not interested in listing out every iteration of different states' concealed weapon license naming scheme and are just referring to such licenses by CCW. I listed all the permits I had and currently am issued, and nobody indicated to me that was improper
