Sounds good. Make sure you have documentation for all your claims, including value of equipment, and crimes in the area where you are walking.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

Should I mention the crime increase in the neighborhood in my good cause or just attach some articles? I know there has been a string of break ins at night while the occupants are sleeping. Also saw a news Article that gun violence is up over 60% this year in Long Beach.

Any articles about crime in your area are good but your best bet is Crimemapping.com for a very specific map. Crime in your neighborhood by itself in not going to do it. You have to personalize it and show how that combines with something individual to you (such as the value of your equipment) to increase your risk. I have a standing offer to help people with their good cause. If you would like more advice, it's probably best to take this off-line and PM me directly.

I understand your situation and frustration. The short answer to your question is that no, you cannot sue the Governor or Sheriff for not issuing or for anything that happens to you as a result. That may actually change next year if we get a favorable ruling in the Bruen case at the Supreme Court. The Sheriff could speed up the process if he devoted more personnel to it, if he adopted a more efficient system, or if he chose to accept "self defense" as good cause.

3 great authors on the enormous responsibility of CCW:

                    1. Gavin DeBecker.
                    2. Rory Miller.
                    3. Marc Macyoung

                    Great great perspectives.

                    Carry on!

Yes. Very good info from these 3, although you can tell from the writings that DeBecker leans toward anti-gun for civilians.

                        This is America.

You have the right to sue anybody you want.

Doesn't mean the results will always be what you're looking for.

Exactly, plus keep in mind that even if you win in lowest levels, there is the 9th circus where they'll reverse anything that endangers their view of 2A
