Mine has been pending since I had the livescan completed on February 3rd. CA and FBI cleared February 3rd.

They're super backed up now on the firearms portion. If you go back and read everyone's time line it was only taking up to two weeks and now it is taking 5 weeks and up.

We might have been at the Sherman building this morning at the same time.

Wanted to drop a line here, as well, to let people know my timeline.
My application was mailed out in late April 2021 and just picked up my permit today, March 9th, 2022.
My interview was September 7th, 2021, and I was notified to take my training on January 17th, 2022. I emailed in my training certificates on February 8th, 2022, and my permit was approved on March 1st, 2022.

If you are a June applicant, you may have missed your interview call. Just email your situation to CCW unit asap. Don't forget to mention your name & ID number in your email.

Final Stage

got the proceed to train email yesterday. i preemptively did the training, livescan and firearms in July. I forwarded the certificates to the CCW unit yesterday afternoon and got a response saying the final stage takes at least 4 weeks and they will schedule pick up if approved. Good day. Semper Fi!

This has always been a concern of mine since I first started looking at this years ago. It is my understanding that some significant things changed at USCCA a year or more ago and I don;t know if the changes solved this problem. Have you looked into this recently and confirmed that this problem still exists? Just wondering.

CCW video from Riverside County

Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco posted a very informative, clear and transparent discussion on Youtube discussing his CCW policy and procedure. There was a bit of misinformation/misunderstanding regarding the requirement for GC, and liability, but overall this seems like an example of a department doing it right.

For those who have been waiting an inordinate time for Livescan results, there was a very interesting discussion starting at 17:50 regarding the problems of using third party Livescan services, and results being lost/misdirected, which is why Riverside does it in house.

Thanks for the heads up, sent a text to 2 of my old neighbors that applied mid-June and have not been called yet. Hopefully the emails don't set them back farther.
