The interview questions really just covered the same elements covered by everyone else’s summary here. A majority of the time was spent reviewing my application page by page, making changes where relevant. The only difference was my interviewer was more critical of some of my evidence than I’ve heard of others being, and in some cases did not want to take certain pieces if they weren’t up to par, rather than others who I have heard were of a “the more the better” mentality.

I did mention I completed the LiveScan ahead of time when I was interviewed, however when I was contacted to start the LiveScan process, I felt it wouldn’t be wise to push back on that and instead just submitted another one, thanked the deputy for contacting me again, acknowledged I started the LiveScan and sent my new, in-progress ATI #. After all, it’s very possible they didn’t receive my June LiveScan.

I did my training with Ron at MedicUp. He has been invaluable in this process, even beyond training. Note that I have not submitted my training certificate, I am waiting for it to be requested.

Negative. I did my interview and was told to proceed with live scan. I was confident my live scan would come back clean and took training before I was told. I submitted my training paperwork to the CCW unit the same day my live scan all cleared.

No one at LASD said anything and it shaved 1 month off my process

What you're referencing is what i think most of us have gone through. Complete the interview and then get handed a live scan form.

What i got out of the other persons responses was that he was told to complete live scan AND training which would not be the norm. If this were the case, one could argue its the deputy who interviews that made the decision vs his/her higher ups.
