Question for those who have been denied or have experience with it, if you do indeed get denied, is there a reason for the denial or do they just deny you?

So does this mean that all listed firearms on application must be registered prior to submitting application? Can we just register them only if we get the permit acceptance?

The handguns are already registered to you when you DROS them. You only list the ones you want to actually carry. They check them to make sure there are no issues with the serial number like lost, stolen, etc.

In both my previous denials, the reason was given (insufficient good cause) in writing.

https://www.reddit.com/r/CAguns/comm...approving_ccw/ Pretty sure they meant LASD instead of LAPD, but if this is true it's a great sign.

Just a quick question but I am in the process of filing out the PDF application file but on some sections it is asking for a witness signature and badge number. Would it be possible for me to fill out everything else and just have a officer look it over and sign where they need to sign or would I have to fill out those sections in front of the officer?

I answered this on page 61, shows you how much many are not reviewing anything on the thread before posting. All questions on filling out form and GC statements will be answered if you spend some time reading what is here.

@Mute wow it took nearly a full month for your live scan to complete? Do you have a complex history or typed your Social Security incorrectly?

Deputy told me it could take up to 6 weeks for live scan. My Torrance live scan (which is no longer required) is on week 3.

I tried combing through the thread from the beginning but honestly with over 60 pages most of the comments did not relate to my question so I figured I could make a new post and ask the community for a simple yes or no question. It would be helpful if there was like a FAQ pinned or something but regardless I appreciate you pointing me to the right direction.

I have A LOT of guns, but that shouldn't affect the clearance time. And yes, it was the firearms portion of the livescan that took the most time. FBI and DOJ portion cleared in a week.
