They do not allow changes to the list of 3 guns you want on the permit after you have taken your training course and qualified with those guns. Before that time, you can still make changes. Just contact them.

but that seems like a really far stretch...to allow non citizens a CCW.
It's already difficult for citizens to get a CCW...you're just adding another bump to the process...Don't want to get your hopes up.

Mailed app on 4/8/2021, through the Temple City station. Emailed on June 7th to see if they received it. Got response back that it was received, still no call or letter. Light green GC.

most racist states ( according to leftists in California ) issues CCW to their residents i can count at least 20 states does this and you telling me California is more racist than other states?

btw i own like 12 firearms and not an illegal ( which is a favorite kind of immigrant that state of CALIFORNIA loves )

Spot on, the website says no modifications. However, my deputy was clear that they, in fact, do process changes regularly. The problem is that it requires a new application, live scan and training cert on the new gun(s), but no interview...so it will take a few months.

Hopefully they change the current protocol, but take comfort in knowing that all is not lost if you decide to change up your permitted pistols.

What’s your citizenship status ? If you’re a permanent resident “green card” holder then you can apply. I’ve applied for citizenship this year and should be full American by November. My ccw app was received 4/27 and check cashed 5/18.

Anything else is immigrant status wise is probably a no.

I don't know what you mean by racists states.

But overall, for most of the population in California, it's difficult to get a CCW permit. Not being a citizen is only going to make it harder.

I don't think it has to do with anything of race.

All you who’ve gotten issued should add a Sig line saying “LASD CCW as of (month) (year)”. That’s an easy way to make sure others (especially others in other CGN forums) realize change has come to LA Co re CCWs.

The more Good Guys with guns in LA Co, the safer you all will be and the less likely the LA Co sheriff will go back to restrictive issuance.
