I still can't believe how crazy our timelines differ but are similar. I turned my app in 9 months after you pre Bruen and now I am only 1 month behind you on training docs received. I'd like to think it's getting better but from the stories we hear it's not... Maybe for me when I turned it in people had given up and there wasn't much apps to process until the Bruen decision

Anyone who has renewed recently care to share their timeline and experience? My license expires in August. I feel like it should move A LOT quicker than the initial application since there are less steps to complete but the "apply 90 days prior to expiration" as it is stated on LASD's website seems like wishful thinking.

I turned my training docs sept 18, Got a call to update a utility bill a month later - a month after that a call to verify an incorrect serial number - still waiting for a call for pick up. time lines are all over the place.

It won't hold but yeah it means no sidewalks, no private restaurants business etc unless a sign in posted allowing you to (good luck) and if you walk into a mall hope that there is no optometrist, dentist, medical facility's or else you and in violation

I thought this only applied to unincorporated areas of LA County?

Response from LAPD informing me that my phone number was added to the list.

Missed a call from "Private Number" and emailed them asking what would happen if I missed their call. They replied 10/27/22 stating that they would leave a voice message to return their call.

Emailed them to check status of my interview. They replied on Nov 30, 2022, 9:20 AM, stating, "You should be contacted for your in-person appointment in the next couple of months."

My interview call came from a local area code number.

Just picked mine up last week. Applied in July of 21. The deputy said she is giving out about 40 licenses a day now!

Just got a call for the interview this past week from an actual number.
I did not pick up, assumed it as SPAM.

But the LEO did leave contact information via voicemail.

Right after I saw the voicemail I called right away & now have an interview sometime in May.

FYI:
Applied via Mail in October 2022 when they were taking mail in applications.
I also then sent an email for confirmation as soon as I saw it arrived that later that day via USPS tracking.

Goodluck to everyone! LAPD seems like it is moving much quicker than LASD.

Do training docs expire? I've been getting conflicting opinions...anywhere from 60 days to 12 months.

I was advised by a member of the CCW Unit that training certs are good for 1 year.
