You'll be able to add a firearm during your interview.

The general consensus is when you do your training, get certified in the guns you want to carry and those are the ones that are going on the license.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You probably have over a year wait or more so you will likely acquire a new handgun or two. You can change them up to your Training.

Hi. This is my first post in this thread. I got the call for my interview today and got the email with instructions. It says I need to have my ID and the address must be my current address. My ID has my mailing address and not my actual address. Will I still be able to prove my address with a utility bill even if it doesn't match my ID?

No... at the bottom is says that if your ID doesn't match your address you need to change it online with the DMV, and then print out the confirmation that you can get a few days later. Also, make sure your utility bill isn't past due or anything.

Just confirming you can change your guns listed on the application before training and if so, how do I go about doing that? Since I already had my interview on 07/14/22, I cleared live scan for fbi, ca and firearms on 8/10/22, so I am expecting my proceed to training email hopefully very soon and wanted to remove and add a gun. Thanks

When you go for training, take the guns you want to have on the CCW license. Qualify with them and the Mod/Ser will be printed on the the qualification paper. and that is emailed to LASD.

Your utility bill being passed due will not affect you at all please don't hint at that being significant in anyway, it is not.

I can see where he's coming from....you can apply for a CCW....but yet ..you can't pay your Electric Bill on time..it's the principal of it.....pay your bills first...now that's funny ... LOL!!!

I can see where he's coming from....you can apply for a CCW....but yet ..you can't pay your Electric Bill on time..it's the principal of it.....pay your bills first...now that's funny ... LOL!!!

It literally says on LASD’s website under Required Documents:

“Utility Bill – must be in the applicant’s name, have the current residence address, and cannot be past due. NO EXCEPTIONS.”

DWP made a billing mistake and over charged me, the bill I took showed the wrong balance as overdue and I sure as hell wasn't going to pay DWP extra money. When I showed the bill to the dep he said DWP utility costs were a total rip off and I didn't even need to explain the billing error, guess who still got issued....
YMMV, there are people here who asked some very low IQ questions and made me concerned they'd be issued that were issued so who knows?

Sorry if this has already been asked!

I took training before getting the proceed to training email. My interview was about a week after the 2nd amendment decision. The officer took all my good cause info but did advise they could no longer use it. He also said to go ahead and get training done asap if I wanted to. I took the training and emailed docs just before my firearms cleared. It looked like an auto reply type response was sent back saying my file had been updated but that the docs would need to be resubmitted. My firearms cleared now on Aug 9th, I'm still waiting on that "proceed to training email. I am wondering if I'll get a call to come pickup, and won't really have to resubmit?
