I received an email back from L.A.S.D. stating that they received my training papers and certificate..and it will be a minimum 4 weeks for processing my permit..and the wait begins..

thats is true. but if SCOTUS clarified the level of scrutiny used in these cases. the lower courts will not be able to justify dic*ing around. PLUS lawsuits are sitting in CA courts.

Not a problem in San Diego, I don't think we know about L.A. I'm pretty sure it will have to be on your shooting qualification and put on your permit in the same caliber it shows in the DOJ AFS system. There is a way to make that happen if you need.

You can add it after the interview. You won't be able to add anything after you submit the training docs. So if you're planning on buying a new gun, then don't submit the training docs until you bought it and qualified with it.

I would wait if I were you. One of the qualifications are to own a registered firearm in the state of CA. You should buy the gun, then list the gun on your appliaction and mail it out. As long as you have the dros paperwork with the serial and information you should be fine. It is going to add a delay. You don't have to wait 10 days to have the gun physically.

so from the date you sent the training doc (1/20) to recevied a pick up call (2/7), it take only 18 days, that fast process but i think it maybe depend on pick up location, did you pick up on whitter also ?

I went for my interview the other day in Whittier. I was told to do live scan. Would they have told me in the interview if my GC wasn't good enough? Would they still have me do live scan with potential of being denied still?
