I did my livescan on 2/8/22, CA & FBI cleared same day. Still waiting on firearms. I just checked. Hopefully mine clears any day!

Picked up my CCW this morning at Monterey Park location. Deputy was great and the process took about 15 minutes.

Can't believe this process is finally over. Now on to my next mission, losing this fat and getting healthier.

I can relate...I lost 115 pounds ...198 pounds is how much I am now per doctor's orders...planet fitness does wonders..it wasn't easy..I'll be the first to admit it ...but I stayed with it..stay strong, you'll get it done..God Bless.

I am a big advocate for health and wellness. I believe everyone should do some form of fitness, carrying a gun is only one form of protect gotta be able to defend yourself with hands and ground game. You cant pull a gun and shoot someone because they try to fight you. Everyone should train and be able to use hands and ground game to subdue someone.

You cant pull a gun and shoot someone because they try to fight you. Everyone should train and be able to use hands and ground game to subdue someone.

I'm not sure which 3 firearms to qualify with, which 3 of these 4 would you choose?

S&W Airweight 442
Glock 26
S&W M&P Shield 9mm (3.1 barrel)
S&W Compact 40

I'm definitely doing the G26, just not sure what other 2 would be practical...? Any advice or opinion will be helpful.

The form has space for three firearms, but I don't think you are limited to only three. I read that somewhere. But if you only want 3, I'm not a big fan of revolvers since it's only five rounds and no quick reload. So I would pass on the S&W Airweight 442.

What if you have a medical condition where you can’t defend yourself from a ground and pound? How about a woman who’s half the size of someone who’s about to punch you?

I'd go with Glock 26, M&P Shield and S&W Compact 40
Or swap the M&P or the 40 with the revolver to have something different on the permit. 5 rounds isn't ideal tho.
