Is anyone else not able to download the ccw application from LAPD website? I googled for the application and the link doesn't seem to work for some reason. It seems to be a direct link to a PDF but I just get an error.

Would it be easier to go into my local station and get the application from there?

Go to the LAPD station and get a denial letter. LAPD stopped issuing them years ago so no apps.
