I too am now questioning the Light Green status. Do we have any absolutely confirmed cases of CCW issued to solely Light Green GC?

I was LG. However, my deputy determined that I have work related GC. He emailed me on Monday morning requesting photos, make, model and value of my company laptop. Seems like I am now Yellow GC.

When I went to my interview, my interview took 15 minutes. He said "What do you have for me?". I presented my package, and my deputy didn't care for anything Light Green that I had for my good cause. He went for the supporting documents for Light Red / Yellow good cause.

The deputy knows what will help you pass, and it is up to him/her to help guide you to make your stronger if he needs more information to complete the package. The deputy can only do so much with the information that is given to them. So make sure you have all your ducks in a row and provide more information and supporting documents

Just like lockdown, I came with more than what was required and was extra prepared. Nothing fancy and straight to the point.

I was in the class earlier this week and learned a lot. I really like Jimmy's teaching style. He gives you a high level explanation of what the point of the exercise is and then goes through each step in precise detail. As you do the drill, he will give you feedback on everything you are doing so you can practice it in your head before your next turn at the drill. We got a lot of action in a short amount of time. Thanks to Jimmy for his generosity in doing this as a free class.

I am so glad to hear you had a great time.

I have been teaching for both LE and civilian settings for the past 25 years and I always enjoyed more teaching civilian students than LE students. LOL

My goal is to spread knowledge and 2nd Amendment rights to the public every chance I have. So help me spread the wealth by sign up for the free classes and pursue more advanced training to protect and serve.

Good catch. I made that post because I thought I read today’s 3 were LG — they’re not, they’re all Yellow.

Yes, I think LA Co went Yellow sometime last Dec - Feb and LG last spring. We had a few posters and several members PMed me in confidence. I always run data by baggss before he changes the map to ensure we both agree. I made posts in this thread when it happened.

I was LG. However, my deputy determined that I have work related GC. He emailed me on Monday morning requesting photos, make, model and value of my company laptop. Seems like I am now Yellow GC.
This is to be expected. AV is politically libel if any of you do a “bad shoot” and the media will trash him for issuing for non work, non threat reasons. The public will be less understanding in that case. That’s why if you have weaker GC (LG), you’ve got to prove even more that you have GMC, that you take this process and CCWing seriously, that you realize the seriousness of carrying, brandishing and shooting (another human being). They’ll try to approve you under a stronger GC if it can legitimately be done. But if not and you’ve only got LG you’d better be a model citizen for them to feel confident in approving you. (Translation: it’s harder to get approved with only LG GC. You’ll be scrutinized more closely. Yellow is better and LR much better (partly because the average business owner or professional is more responsible, self controlled and emotionally mature than the average employee.)

Like I said yesterday, clean up your acts LG gentlemen. Grow up. Cut the crap. You want levity? Go to a bar or a comedy club. This thread is for trying to earn the privilege of a CA CCW under state statutory law, not federal constitutional 2nd A Right to Bear Arms. CCWfacts spent something like a year building up his GMC for a reason.

So a company-issued laptop (let's say a high profile tech company) is now a better GC (e.g. yellow) than recreational LG GC?

First, I don't make the rules. That said, it's not just the laptop. I'm in IT and am they main point of contact and support for critical business applications for my company. I'm on call 24/7 and may have to go into the office at odd hours. The laptop is supplement to my GC. It has access to proprietary information as well as patient data, being that I work for a medical device manufacturer and distributor.

Ah, thanks for the info! I'm just gathering intel and preparing to shift gears on my documentation depending on how things evolve. I can get myself into yellow GC based on what you mentioned.

My GC was totally Light Green. The deputy did ask about work, but I told him I had nothing I could honestly use. My entire app GC was light green.
