Based on the information provided by all those who have been approved, it's pretty clear that they want something more than a statement. They want to see a paper trail supporting the GC. If you have a red GC without any kind of supporting evidence vs a green GC with plenty, which do you think will have the better chance of being approved? If one wishes to throw in every reason they can think of due of uncertainty, they can certainly do so and hope for the best. However, I think their time will be better spent reviewing all of their potential GC and making a determination as to which one they can provide supporting evidence for and work on putting all of that information together. As I've been saying, if you don't have a focused approach to this you're going to find disappointment. There's no guidance from LASD, but there is plenty of data from successful applicants that should point the way. Are applicants really this confused or are they just not willing to admit their GC isn't so strong and the legwork that is needed to ensure the best chance of success is more than they want to do? Now that there is a pathway to getting a permit, do an honest evaluation of your ability to get through the process successfully and get to work on it.But for many applicants, there is the rub. Is cause A with documentation B better or worse than cause C with documentation D? My judgement may differ from yours, and both may differ from the interviewing deputy, which may be different from the approving deputy. As far as I know LASO has no published standards or guidelines on this so we are all just guessing, so maybe it is smart to include more than one possibility. Logicly it should not matter how many insufficient ones you have, as long as you have one that puts you over the line. But of course we have no guidance on that from LASO either.Last edited by Mute; 10-05-2021, 10:26 AM.NRA Benefactor Life Member

Awesome! Congrats bro! I also got called today. She wanted to confirm some stuff for my GC, and then said she is moving my application forward
She did say they hadn't received my livescan, which completed firearms on 8/11, and didn't want my ATI number, said they don't expect it yet since it was done recently. I guess all I need is for DOJ to get my livescan results to them, and I should be good to go. I'm assuming they have my training certs already, but I should have asked to make sure.
I'm taking the day off from the sad boys club today, gentlemen, and ladies.
4/23/21- Application delivered to LASD
7/15/21- Interview
7/18/21- CCW Training Completed and livescan started
8/11/21- Firearms Completed
10/5/21- call to confirm GC
10/7/21- email to proceed with training, docs received by LASD
11/9/21 Issued, 200 days from app delivery

WOO! Dude, I didn't even get a call. I woke up with an email notification that said CCW and I was like oh no....LOL. That's crazy they haven't received your livescan. I bet there was a huge influx at the DOJ. Makes me wonder if they JUST got my livescan stuff back since when I asked about it a few weeks ago they just confirmed they get emailed the returns from DOJ when it's done...Awesome! Congrats bro! Yes. I had 2 LG GC options. Both documented heavily. The deputy focused on one of them which he said was a better option.Originally posted by Kalashnikov007Have a question for those that interviewed and listed more than 1 GC.
