Hey everyone been following closely! I sent my application in May 22nd by mail, check wasn’t cashed until June 30th, just received a call for my interview for October 15th—I’ve never really had a desire for a CCW because I figured it would just be a miserable experience carrying a pistol with me day to day, but recent break in attempts at the store, massive amounts of transient problems and encounters and laughably slow police response times has had me legitimately frightened working at my store as I am often there until 9pm or later alone, leaving in a enclosed parking lot that isn’t well lit. Hoping being Gm of a gun store, being a person of responsibility on the FFL etc. would be good cause, I’m so unfamiliar with all of the LG et al good cause stuff that I have no idea if I have hopes for approval but circumstances have really put me in a place where I do t feel comfortable being unarmed, especially when I’m working alone late at night. Congrats to those who e been approved, hopefully the process will go smoothly for me, I’ve been patient and have not attempted to do any additional scans or training. Guess we’ll see how the interview goes…btw applied directly to LASD as the city of Pasadena where I live explicitly directed me to LASD to apply, they wouldn’t even accept an application.

.. It has nothing to do with whether or not LASD personnel can read a complex statement, but rather, one of making your case to the final arbiter of your application.
