On my acknowledgement email I got the generic reply of "Firearm training and certificate received. You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license."
In august I received a phone call confirming a few things on my app then she said im good to go & to proceed with training. She confirmed my email but I never received an email from her. I submitted my training a week after I got the approval to proceed with training. Its been about 7 weeks since then.Comment

I thought the same thing until I grew up. Years bring experience, and lessons learned from experience bring wisdom... there's not a single old guy alive that wasn't once a young man, and there is not a young man alive that knows what it's like to be old.
You'll get it one day, we all do.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment

I don’t disagree with you that years do bring experience. But a person who can learn from the experience of others as well as his own experience learns much more. I’m sure you’re old and wise but Ive met those who are old and not so wise. Just as Ive met some teens who have wisdom well beyond their years. A 60 year old who spent his life without ever leaving his hometown will lack the experience of a 60 year old who has traveled the world. The assumption that only age brings wisdom is the fallacy. What a person has done with his time matters more than the mere feat of having lived so long. We all have more to learn regardless if we are 20, 30, for 90.I thought the same thing until I grew up. This is a dumb question... I'm sure someone's answered it but if you are told/emailed to go to training, can you be denied? Or is the proceed to training email pretty much the light at the end of the tunnel before pick up?App Sent 4/15

I'd never consider myself wise, but I am getting older.I don’t disagree with you that years do bring experience. I think a pretty much any man who proclaims himself to be wise is probably a fool of the first water. Normally that would be a title assigned by others and if accepted, done so reluctantly as any wise man know he has far more to learn.
There are very few wise young men. Smart? Absolutely, but wisdom can only be gained through experience either first hand or passed on by acknowledging they have much to gain by listening to their elders. Of course there are stupid old men, but we aren't talking about idiots... the issue was with Paladin and he's not stupid. I have to clue how old he is, but I have learned a ton from him and have appreciated the hard work he's poured into the subject of CCW's for Californians.
Read his stuff, it will serve you well. We're all on the same side here.

I believe we have had at least one member here, and perhaps two who was told to proceed with training and yet got denied. The standards appear to be tightening.I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.
