I chatted with him on our app today, he is willing to sign a letter. For some reason they have a hard time grasping we have to jump through hoops. They think Cali is full of homeless, government supported residents. In their world they don't have to ask for permission to carry, or have to prove they need a reason, and they don't understand how anyone could live in a place where they do. It is what it is.

I wonder what the total number received is, and how many of those are denials? I thought they cut Deputies from the Unit a few months or so ago? I am wondering if doubling the size isn't just putting the Unit back where it was before they moved the Deputies out. I am not complaining they are adding folks, hopefully it will speed things up, but not sure it has been "doubled".
It's nice to see Santa Clarita has opened up an Office, I don't think they had anywhere but the SF Courthouse for them and the Antelope Valley. Hopefully it isn't temporary. I wonder if they will transfer the applications for the folks that live in SCV and AV to the new SCV Office? Could make it a bit faster for them.

Perhaps I'm quibbling, but increasing the size of the unit, adding a office, and going online are related to his ability to increase the rate of processing apps and have nothing to do with approval standards. He could double his capacity and still be tightening the approval standards at the same time. It will just increase the rate of denials. Since we know nothing about the percentage of approvals vs. denials, we have no idea.
His number for "in the hopper" can't possibly mean what the normal use of that term means--applications that have been received, but for which no final determination has been made, so I have no idea what he does mean by that.I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

completed my interview today, told to proceed with live scan deputy was fairly nice asked for a couple additional documents which have been sent via email this afternoon. / Signature updated.yellow & red gc

10/1 - request for updated DL
10/5 - Sent updated DL / Deputy re-asked to complete live scan although already complete per instructions during interview.
1/10 - Proceed to training email / 1/10 training submitted.
