yeah I was gonna get the restraining order first... also Yes I'd love to tell my original interviewing deputy but the problem is I can't get a hold of him lol... I already called and left him a message regarding my 8 wk timeline after my interview and live scan. He told me to reach out but he never called me back.. so I have no clue how to get a hold of anyone lol... I haven't emailed the ccw unit only because I figured I'd get a auto response.. But now I'm think I should at least try.. june 8th was my interview and live scan.. So I'm well overdue..

I am still waiting for them to cash my check or give me a call. I know that I am expecting too much as it looks like they are in April/May and I applied in the middle of July. I am anxious every time my phone rings and its an unrecognized. Its almost always a car warranty call....Comment

+1 on the restraining order. This is the "proof" you need to verify that the threat is real without requiring any additional time from the overworked CCW unit to verify the component pieces of data. The restraining order converts al that data to a judicially recognized "fact" that requires no further evaluation.
I would communicate the current status to the CCW unit, the fact that you are obtaining a restraining order, and request instructions on how and where to submit the order as soon as it is obtained. I don't know if it will speed things up, but I bet it will improve your approval chances to close to dead certain.I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

data point for anyone that changes residence during the app process...
i just moved over this past weekend, so i emailed my interviewing deputy and cc'd the main ccw inbox. both responded nearly immediately informing me of what i needed to provide to verify my connection to my new address. i promptly sent them what they requested.
key takeaways:
1. they are ALL on it. my deputy has been highly responsive despite being very busy with all the applicants on her plate. the main ccw unit team, clearly, is right there as well, considering i heard from them within 20 mins of sending my initial email.
2. despite not yet receiving an approval call or denial letter since my live scan completed nearly 2.5 months ago, they were engaged and receptive to my residence change. meaningggg, despite how long the process has taken, it is not an indication that i'm not approved...at least not yet.
3. breathe, be forthright, and give them what they need...including time.

Hang in there! This student of mine got interviewed 3 weeks before me, but I got notified to train before he did, so there's just a lot of variance in processing times.
If you're confident your GC will be approved, there's no penalty in doing the training before you get notified to proceed. That will speed things a little bit once they do notify you, and you just send them your training documents.
