Sheriff says 60 days start to finish? would be nice but if only seven deputy's working on it not going to happen. Guarantee he will be looking into it

I am not sure if he realizes it's longer than 60 days, but the 1 year was a stretch. I turned mine in mid-June and am hoping I get an interview by November. The 60 days is a dream, doubt he will look into it, or assign the staff needed to get through the surge.

Agree that the interviewer blew that part. My own timeline is currently ~60 days from submission to call for interview, with the interview itself still another 14 days away.

Just getting this far in the process has me grateful even if it is another 3-4 months after the interview as many are experiencing these days.

Also happy to go to Whittier even though live in western San Fernando Valley.

Both small prices to pay for progress toward a goal not even conceived of six months ago.

I honestly don't believe you and friend can do that. Unless you are family members. And likely if you share a residence. It is likely that you will have to file separately for TROs. Which will BTW add $435 filing fee, to your CCW overall cost. And add approx 6 wks to timeline before TRO can be issued.

Real life is nothing like TV.

Fee for filing a RED FLAG GUN TRO is $0. Same as Domestic Violence TRO.

Back in 2011 I had to get a TRO against a Bi-Polar wacko. Luckily cost wise. And things have changed on fee schedules. It only cost $85 filing fee then. Non domestic TRO filing fee at that time $285. Because the wacko was a nephew who had 8 yrs prior lived with me for a few months. Before I had no choice but to demand he leave.

That's really useful info for anybody in similar circumstances.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

oh wow thanks for the info.. Honestly I still don't have the heart to get one against him.. I'm just doing my best to keep him convinced that I live in nevada... So far he has not visited my residence.. At this time I'm not responding to him.. One day I get a friendly message and another day it's angry threats..

thanks for saving me a bunch of headaches , money and time. lol.. I'll just do my best to stay away.

I finally emailed the ccw unit and recieved a reply.

"Thank you, your file is still being reviewed."

I'm not sure if it was an auto response or a genuine response. The fact that it has taken this long makes me wonder what they are having an issue with..I was polite and offered any additional documents they would like from me..

A little over 2 months since my interview and live scan. About 4 months from the time I sent in my application.
I will wait this out.. No other option anyway lol.
