It's a good first step getting the livescan handed to you. Not getting the livescan I believe is an indication of not passing their multi-tier system at the first stage.

I'm guessing it's a three step vetting process. The initial deputy who pre-screens your application and then meets you to verify and collect further documentation. There was someone who stated they ambushed a felon at a CCW interview meaning they scope you before ever walking in. Another recently said they were told their guns weren't in the system. Based on the words of my interview, I get the strong indication they sift and pre-vet and then proceed with interviews. Not a single person has stated receiving a denial letter and no interview yet.

The second level which is the presentation of everything collected and to see if they feel it's appropriate. The third step, final sign off (guessing the sergeant and lieutenant which who knows what criteria they are working off of)

Haha yea the story of the felony ambush was mine. Guy with outstanding warrants from other states. Background check first, then called, then invited him over so it was an arrest on a silver platter. People really dont have any common sense.

how do you know if they received your application? do they mail a confirmation or something?

@Pookguy. Most are sending it certified mail. You will receive a tracking number and you will be able to see when they received your application.
