Or a sample/template format that I could anchor on...?

There, I’ve saved you $150. Use it for ammo or to support the 2nd Amendment organization of your choice. ETA: I recommend the NRA Political Victory Fund (PVF) to campaign for good candidates and beat bad ones, and the Institute of Legislative Affairs (ILA), to pressure politicians in office.

If I wish to add supplemental information to my good cause as well as an additional reason, should I email the CCW unit preemptively ahead of my call for interview (if I even get one), or should I wait for the call to ask the detective how to add to it?

Just bring it in with your interview. They make notes around your application anyways.

Let’s clean up our thinking by cleaning up what we say. It’s more accurate to say that the odds are 50:50 that you have sufficient GC and GMC and proof of both. If you have that the odds are almost a certainty you’ll be issued. If you don’t, the odds are a near certainty you’ll be denied.

I am a glass is half full kind of guy.

934 approved and 317 pending (he said in the hopper). First, I choose to look at 934 approved as signed, sealed and delivered, ie picked up. I choose to look at those 317 “in the hopper” as approved for interview but not yet called, called but not interviewed yet, interviewed with LiveScan pending, interviewed, LiveScan passed and training certification pending, or pick-up call pending or made, but not yet picked up. Everyone is “in the hopper” until they actually have it in hand, right?

If that optimism is true then there could be over 1200 soon.

Furthering the optimism, how many of the remaining (2000 or likely more now minus the 1200 accounted for above) are somewhere between application received and called for interview? That is the guys watching this thread every day, multiple times a day and chewing their nails in anticipation? Supporting each other’s mental health.

Finally, the absence of reported denials in this blog is striking. Sure some might be angry or embarrassed, but there must be a few good guys who would reach back and tell us what they think went wrong??
