It will be from my pops, but I can't do the transfer until I turn 21. You have to be 21 to run the DROS paperwork for a handgun.

Intra-familial handgun transfer... thats how all of us youngins are obtaining our handguns at our age.

I am 21 and on my birthday I bought a Springfield XD. I turned 21 last April and that winter was a very rough one for me so I didn't have the money I wanted but I am very happy with my XD. Shortly after that I bought all of my reloading stuff. That cost more then the pistol. Now I reload for all of my 9mm, 308, and .223. I definitely recommend reloading. I can reload 1000 of 9mm for under $100 if I use my own brass.


My parents told me they would take me to Vegas for my 21st but I told them I had to be here to buy my handgun on my birthday. That is beside that fact that I don't drink so Vegas wouldn't be that fun unless it was to go out in the desert to shoot stuff.

Here I am a few years ago while I was in Vegas for a high school baseball tourny. Im shooting a full auto AR chambered in 9mm. I also shot a MP5K but that bastard jammed more times than you can shake a stick at.

I turned 21 december 20th 2008,but haven't been able to buy a handgun yet
since i'm flat broke.

When I can afford it,I either want to buy a Springfield 1911 .45 or a XD-40.

I was fortunate enough to move here from the "free" state of Wisconsin. In Wisconsin you can buy a pistol from a private party when you're 18.
You don't even need any paperwork!

I'm turning 21 this September and I'm planning on buying my first revolver. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to get, but I want a .357. Right now I'm leading towards a S&W686 or Ruger GP-100.

You never know, but hopefully they still are.

That's the 1st gun I bought as soon as I turned 21 (took me up until then to save up for it). I really wanted the .50DE but it was already banned but you can get the conversion from Magnum Research (it's only a different barrel/magazine).

I plan on filling out the inter-familiar transfer paper soon for my dads (aka mine) beretta 96 and DE in .44 mag. Right now I have my minds eye set on either a 1911 in 10mm or a Glock in 10mm. Getting hard just thinkin about it
