    For those under 21...

I got just about 5 months until I hit 21 years old but I have been planning my first actual handgun purchase for years now. I figure I have all the time in the world after my b-day but what better way is there to celebrate your 21st than buying a handgun.. other than getting hammered of course.

    Heres my pick:

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY GI OD GREEN 1911 .45 ACP

I've always been a fan of 1911's and she really caught my eye awhile back. Hell, I already bought a new pair of grips for her when I was 19.

    So whats your pick???
    Dear California,
I love you. I was born and raised in you. You have given me some of the best times of my life. Now with that said, I can not wait to move!

I'll be 21 in may but I already have my 1911, a Kimber Royal II. on my birthday I just have to send in the transfer paperwork into my name. Pretty much you can't beat a 1911. but you may want to look into getting a beaver tail because when I shot a WW2 1911 that didn't have one my hand got a little roughed up...no biggie but just a suggestion

When i turn 21 i am gonna buy a Colt 1911, which will be the weapon i pass down and take care of the most.

Either a Colt Gold Cup National Match
Or just a Regular Government model 70 series.

I have a 1911 in .38 Super, but that is not something i would want to pass down. Just a nice original Colt 1911....

My advice on that pistol... save your pennies and go for the next model up. My sister got the Gi in stainless, but had to replace the sights so you can actually shoot well with it. I'm going to buy it from her when I turn 21, but just a heads up I couldn't shoot for crap with those gi sights.

I am 21 and on my birthday I bought a Springfield XD. I turned 21 last April and that winter was a very rough one for me so I didn't have the money I wanted but I am very happy with my XD. Shortly after that I bought all of my reloading stuff. That cost more then the pistol. Now I reload for all of my 9mm, 308, and .223. I definitely recommend reloading. I can reload 1000 of 9mm for under $100 if I use my own brass.

My parents told me they would take me to Vegas for my 21st but I told them I had to be here to buy my handgun on my birthday. That is beside that fact that I don't drink so Vegas wouldn't be that fun unless it was to go out in the desert to shoot stuff.

Less than 11 months (December baby) until I become 21. The only problem is I dont have a utility bill or valid registration with my name on it so Im screwed when it comes to showing another form of residency. But I still can dream right?

Grew up around "old timers" when it came to shooting handguns soooo......
                    S&W 686P or a Ruger GP100.

I like that plan. chinese food, ping pong and a gun all in one? thats a good day in my book.

I still have about 42 months to go, but i've already decided on a desert eagle, just for the cool factor.

I bought my P226 on my birthday...awesome purchase! I couldn't go drink because I had eye surgery two days before and I was still on Vicodin.

If you need a second proof of residence, you might try voter materials. Two stores I've been to have said they would accept voter registration or a sample ballot addressed to you at your DL address.

ya i have 4 weeks and 6 days... so painfully close..and yet so far.

I wish i could NRF a XDm already, but i guess that will wait. I like the current xd-40's, especially the v10. If i had my way though i would get the Springfield MC operator.....(as if i have $1000+ laying around.... ) not that big on HK's for some reason.
