I guess I am just going to wait for it for few months and see if they will issue it to me despite of the fact that my residence is in Los Angeles. Then, I guess ordering a log book will be in order.
They're taking a max of 8 weeks for FFL's. Log book only necessary if you buy C&R's. I'm using for ammo and the 30-day exemption only.

It is my understanding, you do need to keep a log book handy even if you will have it emptied log.

They had just liberated a nation.

So.... how are you doing ordering ammo? Do you get it delivered to you?

I finally got around to applying for my COE. I did the fingerprints yesterday, submitted the online app this morning. I’ve had my 03 forever, but I’m finally getting around to this so I can take advantage of some of the PSA ammo sales. Now the waiting game begins.

Not much of a wait. Should have it available to download/print in a couple business days. The 03 takes forever, but you took care of that already.

They need you to fax them the info with every order. Target Sports is much easier, upload to their site into your account profile, done.

You don’t have to Fax PSA.
You use there online messaging webpage to submit the 03 & COE. I use PDFs.
But you do have to do it for every order.

I knew it was something like that! Every order is a pain.

I'll have to look into that, but I was told by a buddy of mine that is a lawyer (although not a firearms lawyer, but can read those crazy laws) that I don't need one if I never buy one and register it online with CFARS. That makes sense, but I'm in CA, so that doesn't mean much. HA!

After the FFL03 arrives a follow up “Welcome Packet” will turn up in a couple of weeks.

Not much in the packet, but it does contain a folded page for use as a logbook.

Oh and although not a lawyer, I don’t even play one on TV, but, , I believe you need to present a logbook if requested for inspection, even if the book is empty.
