I wonder what would happen if a "drug free" certificate was required to purchase firearms
or post on this forum? Pete

you can be "drug free" and argue that the current War on Drugs is wrong and is actually making the problem worse.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

what is a drug? illegal, legal, both, etc. caffeine is a drug so you'd be banning firearms for essentially everyone.

BS, if you're drinking booze, it's to get a head change, saying anything else is just lying to yourself. I would also like to see some statistical proof of your earlier statement of most shootings and home invasions being from marijuana, I don't believe it.

Can you use edible marijuana in your department and still work there? With a rx of course

i believe many major organizations do permit the use of marijuana for an employee, however they can determine what ailments are acceptable. (i.e. if you test positive for MJ, but do not have cancer, aids, or some other significant illness they can fire/not hire you) although i am not sure if they would accept being under the influence while at work.

I had a friend that didn't get a job because she tested positive and didn't have one of the illnesses that they deemed to merit justifiable marijuana usage(even though she did have a card)

I'd rather it be completely legal. Makes my brain that much quicker in comparison to all those who want to spend the day smoking joints, watching movies, and eating cupcakes.

True. I'm guessing they think COD = Tactical Training.

In some cases, you don't even have to request it. My mother was having stomach pains for quite a while. One of her doctors offered to write her a Rx for MJ. She declined.

Thats why the have Marinol. Pill form THC. They have synthetic and natrual versions.

I must agree with the OP though on the crime rate increase. Our home invasion robberies went through the roof last year and 99% were MMJ related. Even if it was legalized I don't think it would go down either. Its much easier to just let someone else spend the time needed for high quality MJ and then steal it.

People who are against pot, need to expand their minds....especially if they consume alcohol. But as we in the gun community know education is needed for people who are full of FUD.

Marinol lacks CBN and CBDs, unlike the bud.

The prohibition of alcohol turned pick pockets into millionaires, the prohibition of marijuana is doing the same.

right, but there are issues with Marinol. IIRC, Marinol is just THC, and they are finding out there are other compounds in the MJ that are beneficial, that just by taking Marinal, you arent getting the same befinits.

edit: too slow on the CBN and CBD. I believe they are called cannaboids. here it is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoids

again, if it is legalized, the added cost of the black market goes away and it just becomes another commodity like alcohol or cigarettes. When you can just buy it at the local 7-11, many of the crimes due to the blackmarketness of MJ and even MMJ go away.
