Tut, sir! Let us wait for Sunday night to post evaluations, based on actual actions or failures to act.

Your teachers never - or should not have - cast aspersions on your academic abilities when you did not turn in your assignments two days BEFORE they were due.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Just The Dream Act alone justifies my comment above.
Using gun control to stop crime is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline!
You don't have to get permission to exercise a RIGHT. If you have to get permission or can be told no by the government it is no longer a right. IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

            We'll see.

After getting a bunch of people to call, write, etc, a lot of people I know are watching this.

              Well done.

Can't argue with your comments one bit. I was a pretty fair a**h*le in my posts.

"....your snide, arrogant, and passive/aggressive disposition is not acceptable nor commensurate with the innocent and courteous manner in which I asked a simple and genuine question." Can't argue with this at all. It's well said and articulate. I get in a mood from time to time and forget my manners, it's true. You've called me down for my rudeness fair and square.

              I'll do better next time.

If you hang out here a lot you start to see the same questions asked by multiple posters, over and over.... I sometimes forget that each time the same question is posted it's with a fresh and innocent intent, not realizing that they are the latest in a line of question askers. We who have taken the time to answer multiple times in the past decide to get impatient and out of sorts.

Also, the bills that don't have an effective date written into the bill take effect January 1 the year after the bill is passed and signed. January 1, 2012. I don't remember the source for that but I know cause I've been following the end of the legislature session and waiting on the Governor's decisions for a couple of years now. Fresh crop of anti-gun bills each year.

If Brown fails to veto and lets the bills pass back unsigned, this is the same as a "no contest" plea in lieu of a guilty plea in a court of law. The results are the same. I will consider the bill supported and approved by Gov. Jerry Brown if this happens, but like the left-wing worm he is, just too spineless to actually put his pen to paper.

                  Open carry is a "loophole"?

The page is no longer here. Why not try exploring the homepage for something else?

                  What a douchebag.

Unfortunately, in their efforts to discourage me, the open carry activists have peppered my home phone and Facebook with nasty comments since I introduced AB 144. There is even a wanted poster on the Internet with my photo front and center.

In fact, this is the whole point of having a decentralized government and states rights. If I don't like the environment created by local politicians, I can just relocate to another city more to my liking. If the problem is at the state level, then I just move to another state.

Where you run out of options is when the problem is at the federal level.

This simple fact is the root argument behind the premise of limiting the power of a federal government, like the founding fathers intended.

Not only have we moved away from this at the federal level, but even well intentioned people such as yourself often argue that doing this at a state level is somehow wrong or selling out.

We recently lost a local manufacturer of solar panels. They needed to expand and the local paper quoted their CFO as saying he would be derelict in his duties if he advocated expanding in such a business hostile state. Good article in the local paper where he explained why they not only didn't expand here, but decided to totally close up shop, lay off all their workers and relocate across country to a more business friendly state.

Individuals taking these same steps for economic, tax, 2nd amendment, education, or any other reason is no different.

My only request to them is, before they leave, let it be widely known WHY they are leaving. Tell their neighbors as well as their local and state politicians that they and their tax revenue are leaving and why.
I've met more than a few California expats here in Florida including one young (mid 40's) retired couple from San Francisco who were state employees. Their reasons for moving here were no state income tax (ironic for people that had their salaries paid and have their retirement benefits paid by California taxpayers), lower housing costs, and better/safer schools for their junior high aged son.

Also well done. It takes a big man for a mea culpa like that, and that says a lot about your character.

I try to mind my manners on line, and have the attitude that it takes just as much time/effort to post a snide/sarcastic/condescending remark as to post actual information. Since I'm a non-Californian I've had the occasional question about terms like bullet button, OLL single shot exemption, etc and been on the receiving end of snide/sarcastic/condescending answers from some people here. It's only mildly annoying because it really says more about the rude poster than than anything else.

BTW as a libertarian I like your sig line, even though in my experience it's still anecdotal when it comes to RKBA.

                        Small clarification.

In California the Governor vetoes a bill by sending a note to the Legislature, "I am returning this bill to the Legislature without my signature." The bills he lets sit on his desk and takes no action at all on (no sign and no send back) become law without his signature.

The distinction between signing a bill versus letting it become law with out a signature will in no way affect the impact of that law on peaceable citizens. A difference that makes no difference is no difference.
