What other slings do you have?

I have the slingster; can't decide how much I like it vs. other slings I own.

    I have;

    - BFG Vickers

    - VTAC

    - Magpul

I like them all, including the slingster.

Only gripe about the slingster - that I don't have about the other slings - is you seem to have to really yank it backwards / away from your body / awkwardly in order to loosen it up.

I feel that all the other slings are easier to quickly adjust, even the magpul, which is surprising because I didn't think their flat buckle slider would be that great, but it is awesome.

Just got the ADAPT T.E.A.R. FRONT FLAP

Should I install the bungee cords or leave it open top?

Nice setup. I say no bungee. I went with the turnover mag pouch. Image attached.

I'd do bungee on 2 of them, leave one totally open top.

Whichever mag you will grab for your first reload; leave that one totally open. Rest would benefit from retention.

I got that one too, hahah... don't have it yet. Yeah I think I'll leave the bungees off... the elastic is pretty decent retention. If they stretch out, I'll add them later. I'd rather build an upper or clean guns than tie knots and rig bungees or sew stuff.

Nice in MC Black... how do you like that drop pouch?

I love the dangler style drop pouches. I use them on all my setups. I just get the generic airsoft versions. I use them for medkits and ear plugs. Just dont put anything heavy in them or you will be sorry when it swings and hits you in the gut.

Do they get in the way at all when you squat / crouch, sit, etc?

I have mostly mil surplus or basic old style static two-point slings and a couple single point. Like on my mini-14 the sling adjusts where you want it and you never adjust it again - to sling a rifle on your back and sling-up/wrap around your arm to steady a off-hand shot. I have a couple Hunter slings where they are auto-retracting, spring loaded, but those wear out. I have one on my pump shotgun that doesn't retract anymore.

Now I have a few Slingsters.

They adjust fine for me with the plastic lever that's on the new ones as long as I support some of the rifle's weight with my strong hand (smooth and fast both ways). I just got a new tan one with my ADAPT front flap... need more QD swivels and a Magpul fisxed Carbine stock QD insert. Everything is hard to find right now.

Anyone try the LBT ultralight two-point sling?

EDIT: I tried one... nice alternative to the OOS Slingsters... For around $48 you get a few extras like HK CLIPS, and silencers. That's cool even though I didn't use the HK clips. Works different from a Slingster but still works and seems to be a lot more steel parts in the LBT.

Not for me. I guess it depends on how low you wear your PC. I dont have any issues with it.
