Gatorade bottle in a dump pouch or ice chest. I hate hydration packs. People overthink hydration IMHO.

Steel plates with buildup coat and aramid liners (2x spall guards) are GTG in my book as far as stopping everything and multiple hits in the exact same spot easily, but the weight is the con. When you see level IV composites coming down to under 6 pounds each and no huge worries about spall... it seems like technology is catching up and making them obsolete.

Steel plates? Spall guards? LMAO You cheap arse morons should be more concerned about surviving the first hit, maybe two...instead you all are planning to take many/multiple rounds...think about that and ask yourself what is wrong with that concept.

WE are on the same page, however... I said it much more politely. Ahh hahahahahahahahah.

I have two steel sets and they are not installed in carriers FWIW.

What are those pics of anyway? There definitely is no spall guard in those pics. Bubba's proprietary garage Flex Seal formula?

Yep I thought the same. Looks more like trauma pad glued to it then shot. Of course it gets destroyed like that. No spall buildup coating videos look like that... DIY is not the way to go.

Right? Looks like knee pad foam. There is not a one aramid fiber layer there. Even actual FLEX SEAL stops some spall (better than those pictures). I saw it on YOUTUBE so I know it is true hahahah.

Spall on Steel can be mitigated. Steel is too heavy. Steel is not a great option nowadays. Steel DOES hold up well. Personally I'd rather have redundant composite setups. Some may still choose steel. YMMV. IMHO. Definitely no need to call people names or get riled up.
