tanks: I think the ammo discount upgrade could be useful for some of us from CA for when they finally ban online ammo sales. It would be nice to be able to just pick it up there at a price close to what some of us pay online now.

Although Ammo Supply Warehouse seems to be more competitive.

No kidding LOL, he'd need to contract one of them solar arrays outside of Vegas to be built on the property for the power needs, then guess what. No room for the hotel or convention center area.

I read about one guy who lent Piazza and FS $1M. If anybody who had been to FS long enough and can remember one instructor in the advanced long gun classes can get a pretty good guess who it was.

Just wait 5 years. The presidential membership will be devalued to what the diamonds are today. Go on EBay and check out the 4Day certificates. Couple of guys are giving them away for free, a few are at $4.95. 5 years ago they were were a bargain at $100

Interesting that F'S dollars/credits are so devalued that you cannot use them for membership upgrades. You would think that F'S would offer an upgrade or two to burn up a lot of these credits to get them off the books!

That should be coming around in the next offer or two if the pattern holds.

I think Piazza actually likes that there is a reaction to his offers. It means he's getting some attention that he can use to garner more interest in the next scheme.

Reminds me of how our money supply works. Does Piazza work at the Federal Reserve?

People, myself included, keep paying for memberships above Diamond due the ongoing "promise" of a hotel, a clubhouse, a retail outlet, more ranges, more class offerings, a defensive driving track, a casino, condo ownership, RV park, etc. etc. etc. At some point a line must be drawn which for me came with the President offering at $5000 (for current Commanders) after yet another promise no further memberships would be offered, no progress whatsoever on the new accommodations or amenities, and of course the Dr. Piazza's latest claim that unless you pay $5000 or more to become a President then you will likely kiss most of what was promised/earned 'goodbye'.

You're right, to continue upgrading to every new membership offered is not a sound investment any longer, at least for now. I'll just continue enjoying the training and time spent with my family at FS and Pahrump/Vegas.

If you want to train at FS Alaska, Diamond doesn't get you there.
Diamond Alaska does. I passed mine down to my wife when I bought an Ambassador membership and got the same amount of $$ back in Iggy Bucks. (Of course at first chance I had, I blew those Iggy Bucks at the Pro Shop before they got devalued any further.)

Glad I stopped buying memberships at Ambassador level. You just know it, if he ever builds a hotel, condo or even an exclusive members-only lounge in the future, he'd be offering a new membership level to get you in there ahead of the others, even ahead of the President members

Rumors have it that Ackman's mother lent Piazza $250K, which is why he did not walk out when the other instructors did during the Bakersfield days.

I guess that kinda fits the rumor that Ackman is part owner.

So let me get this straight. He values the diamond at about $250. He is building 500 condos and a 400 room hotel. Just for comparison the new Holiday Inn in Pahrump is 103 rooms and cost 9 million to build (according to the PV Times). He also says there are 150k members and he is training 50k people a year. Assuming he sells 46 weeks on each of those condos that's 23,000 weeks for sale / timeshare or 23k members buying a week each. What do we think a week is going to cost assuming you can trade in memberships and use credits. It has got to be at least 100k. The 400 room hotel will cover about 18k students a year. So assuming everything is sold out (and no growth), 8 thousand students a year will have to stay in town.

                          Never going to happen.

Good to know Diamonds are valued at $250 when we turn in our excess memberships for upgrades.

I thought that at first but...I'm not betting on that one. I believe that what he THINKS you should be selling them for out in the world. I'm sure they'll be more like $100 for trade-ins.
