calling all Hornady lnl ap users

So I have been using the LNL along with the Hornady bullet feeder die but I wanted to be able to load more before I had to turn my attention to adding more bullets to the die. Lee has a multi tube adapter for their system so I made myself an adapter that would combine the Lee multi tube and the Hornady bullet feeder die. Seems the be working pretty good on the LNL and it didn't cost an arm and leg like the motorized bullet feeder

Here are a couple of pictures of my setup.

Just a thought - I can probably crank a few out over the holiday break. I will have to see what the material cost would run me but I am thinking it be about $30 shipped in a flat rate box if anyone is really interested.

I have had a number of PM's on the adapter so I thought I would expound a bit more

The black piece (Lee OEM) rotates without having to unhook it, so you can load approximately 100 bullets. Also the Lee comes with two separate screw pieces that are tailored for small or large bullets that screw directly onto the piece that I made.

I have attached a couple of pictures showing what I am talking about.

I think you should start a for sale thread.
This product is to good to hide on page 2 of someone else's thread.

Also obviously it works but I don't see how there's enough space for this between station 2 powder drop and station 3 bullet feeder die.
I only have about 1/8" between the two.

Or do you have to skip a station? Powder cop fit in 3, feeder die in 4?

Yes the way I have been running my LNL with the bullet feeder is in station 4 with the powder cop in station 3.

So far I have had about 6 CalGunners show interest in getting one of the adapters. I will PM each to confirm.

No problem with the thread jack im the op and im happy because im interested in one also. Waiting to get a new bench to set up my new press then get all accessories i need. Bullieblue keep me on our short list for an adapter also

The case feeder is awesome but takes some practice in setting it up correctly. Ive loaded 9,40,45,223,308,460sw,450bm. The only problem i had was adjusting the feeder for 380. Sometimes Drops 2-4 cases at a time and wastes time. 40 sw works fine with a small pistol feeder plate into a large case feed tube back into a small case drop tube. Its a bit slow, to feed initially, but feeds fast enough to ensure a smooth operation throughout.
I also have the primer system running like a top.
IMO dont get the bullet feeder. Check each case for powder before the seating step. get Hornady seating dies. The bullet sleeve makes aligning a snap and no need to overbell pistol cases

Oh, assemble a spare parts kit because things work loose and break on the lnl more often than the blue. Many pieces are designed to break. Especially the powder drop screws and the any of the spring that goes around the shellplate . I almost got hit in the eye by a snapped powder drop spring

Shellplates i have found are cheapest on amazon

Cost of setting up a caliber is a wash comparing red and blue. Shellplates/ dies/ bushings vs toolhead. I love my Blue frame, but find that 5th station useful as an extra checkpoint, So i migrated over to red almost completely. Still load 38 on my blue right now but once I pick up that set, it goes up for sale or donation

Question:

If i have lee and hornady dies, do i need to buy the item below for my new lnl press to flare and powder drop in the same step?

If so how do i know what size to use for 45acp, 9mm, 357 and 223

I just cant tell (since i havent opened box and set up) if i need this

I upgraded my LCT with this universal expander, very quick shipping. Was around 30 bucks as i recall.

The Hornady ptx comes with the Hornady bullet feeder. The ptx is caliber specific and works well. I have one of the LCT and it works as well but unlike the Hornady it is not caliber specific.

If you want to try the LCT you can stop by my house (I think you are in Gardena) and you can take mine and try it out.
