when buffalo arms calls you a year after you placed an order that you've just about forgotten and asks if you still want it and you say "absolutely", without even questioning what it was for. as it turns out, it was my 3rd order of .330diameter 208gr fmjbt bullets. if you know what they're for, you DEFINITELY belong here.

When you leave the range with calloused hands from catching valuable 5.7x28 brass before it hits the ground.

[QUOTE=M27;10801816]You know reloading is a disease when, you collect brass for calibers you plan to own.

You know reloading is a disease when, you don't care that reloading saves money per round, you just like doing it.

You know reloading is a disease when, you own firearms that have never fired a factory round.

You know reloading is a disease when, you know the cost per round to the tenth of a cent.

You know reloading is a disease when, you buy factory rounds you make sure the brass is reloadable.

You know reloading is a disease when, you know the difference between boxer and burdan primers.

              All of the above!

You know its a disease when you have so many bullets in your closet that the floor broke out under the weight and it took you 6 years to find out and only then because the plumber needed a wheelbarrow to move them.

When you read all 4 pages of this thread at once because you'd like to start reloading but don't yet.

When your hometown range has a 'no picking up brass' policy and you keep stealing glances at some shiny 7mm-08 brass just sitting there on the ground, mocking you, DARING you to pick it up, reload it, and buy that nice Savage from the gun store that opened last week. That was 5 months ago, maybe it's still there...

When you low-ball 150+ penny auctions on Gunbroker (won 6 this week) and end up with 4,000+ pieces of brass in calibers you don't own. NO REGRETS!

when you rather collect supplies as payment for calguns sales than money

when you ask people next to you at the range "Hey can I have your brass" and when they say yes, you drop to the floor in the most undignified way to pick it up like it you were a crack addict who just dropped his stash.

You spend thousands of bucks on a complete bullet swaging setup just to convert all those wasted 22LR casings people are leaving at the range into usable 22 bullets. Not to mention 9mm casings into 40cal bullets, 40S&W casings into 45cal bullets, etc...

I'm even thinking of a way to justify purchasing a high temp oven just to anneal brass in bulk.

                                1) When you boycott ranges that don't let you keep your brass with their "if it hits the floor, it's ours" policy!

                                2) When you can safely catch your brass from a semi-auto mid-flight!

                                3) When you have 23 buckets of sorted brass piled up in your back yard.

                                4) When you can tell the difference between 303 Brit and .30/30 at 15 yards, in the dirt.

                                5) When you have faint scribe marks on your case heads so you know how many times a piece of brass has been reloaded.

                                6) When you can tell the caliber of brass by the sound it makes hitting the ground.

                                7) When Rolf is happy to see you.

                                8) When you have over 15 gallons of .556 and 5 gallons of .308 brass

                                9) When you supply your favorite LGS with reloading components that they are having troubles acquiring.

                                I'm guilty of #1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and #9
