Why didn't you trust them? Just because they fell on the floor doesn't mean a thing.

I won't throw them away . Our garage is picked up and crushed into truck .
I can just see a neighbor throw in a paint can , a primer going off and a fire in truck .
I won't use a primer that fell on bench [ now I hand load primers in chair in house ] anymore than I would try to use / reuse powder that was spilt or from pulled bullets .
Primers and powder is too cheap to take a chance on . I toss bulged cases , split ones and if there is a crack in base . [ the 50 AE / 44 and 357 tosses cases and if they miss the case net and hit floor , sometimes they bend . I straighten with a lee hand loader and vise - some times they crack ]

Powder manufacturers store each batch in large vats of distilled water. Using some that spilt on a clean surface has no risk. I'd only toss it if other powders got mixed in.

The YT clip was directed at the penetration hazard associated with loaded cartridges in a fire. While informative & entertaining, the clip did not directly address the OP's concern of safely handling primers.

Any insinuation on a public forum that primers can be properly disposed of by campfire is as dangerous behavior as it is moronic behavior.

So do you have any evidence to support your claims? Or are you just going to continue to be condescending and insulting?

Another way of dealing with the nuclear primers that might kill (If It Saves One Child's Life..... blah blah, bukbuk yakyak) is to throw them in with your scrap brass and sell them to the scrapper. I keep all my fired primers in the brass bucket in sandwich baggies and lay them on top of the pile when I sell the scrap. 101 times out of 100 the guy dumps them out into the bin with the cases and they are weighed in along with everything else. Brass and primers are worth #1 price for clean brass. Spent primers add significantly to the weight. They wont take live ammo but primers are OK. They pop during the heat up cycle when the stuff is melted.

I have had them pop when I vacuum them up. Never hurt anything. Did not start a fire. Did not cause a hole in the paper liner in the vacuum.

So the sky is not falling no matter what some may think.
