here is some free shipping info for you casual sellers or new sellers
I ship alot on ebay and website forums sometimes as much as every other day depending on the time of year

its really simple for this problem
first off forget the brother in law, working at fed ex who cares even if its free somehow look at the mess this person has made

USPS will send you any priority mail flat rate boxes, envelopes, bags whatever you want for free usually within a week
so its always best to have some boxes various sizes on hand if you think your going to be selling
or walk into a post office most have boxes in the lobby for free

this upper can fit fine in a medium or large flat rate box depending on how long it is
between $12-17 to ship touch more for full insurance and signature
    2-3 day delivery with tracking

you can print the label from paypal, if it was a normal payment
gift payment will not show any mailing address

schedule USPS pickup online from your address for the next day

all you have to do is get up, print the label put the package on your porch

    its that easy
no need to involve other people to ship your items
unless your selling things you dont have in your possession which I HATE!!!!

since this is a used item I would expect it to ship at least by the weekend just incase the seller works crazy hours and can only ship on saturdays
Ok I can put up with that not everyone is prepared to sell something even though they put it up for sale

any more time then yes I will bombard with where is my tracking, did it ship yet messages

I would also expect to be notified of any BS excuses or delays as if I can ship my stuff out next day I expect others to do pretty close to that

I was a mod on a car forum, and one well established member, bought something from another established member. A thread similar to this was posted buy the buyer saying hey does anyone know so and so in person? I paid for my stuff two weeks ago and he won't respond to my PM's. Mod team trys to get of hold of him, we can't. Nearest person that knew him was a couple hours away. So for two more weeks no one hears nothing.

One night out of the blue the seller is back online. (and here's what makes it a good story for CalGuns) The night the seller got the money from the buyer, he had someone break into his home, and he shot the guy with .410 from a Judge. The burglar was hit in the face and was in a comma. The police put the seller in jail for 40 days until the burglar awoke from the comma and told the police that he was indeed there to hurt the guy.The police and DA, then let him go. Dude shipped out the part the next week, but he lost his job, fell behind on all his bills and really got screwed hard.

years ago I bought a parts kit from someone here

happened he died the next day, of course took like 2 weeks of trying to contact this guy, calling him to find out what the deal was

what a nightmare that was, just thinking of having to deal with paypal over gun parts
but I did get the money back from the family

OP, you're in a rough one, do what you feel is best for you, it's obvious that you're not going to get what you paid for, you were wronged by the seller and that is inexcusable, leave him a negative feedback and move on to doing whatever it is you feel the situation warrants.
            Good luck.

Seller has time to check Calguns but no time to meet a financial obligation?

We know who not to buy from on here.

Firefox is enough of a bloated pig as it is without add-ons. Ads don't bother me, but then I'm not as wound up as a lot of Arfcommers are.

                    Update:

Seller refunded money +$15. He says he went to the BiL's house 4 times (apparently he lives 3 hours away) and no one has seen him. I actually believe him, maybe I'm a sucker. Anyway I told him I'd still buy the upper and give him back the 15 extra if he ever does get the upper.

Lots of lessons learned in the process. Thanks to those who were supportive. Thanks to to those who were rightly critical when I was being overzealous. Calguns is a great community, and it's nice to see that people want to make sure things are done fairly and responsibly here.

Glad it worked out for you. I have the same upper for sale, but it is at my sister in law's house, if you are interested.

                      Just kidding.

Bill I'm glad you got your money back. Now I hope the seller can come here and explain just what happened. Things still don't add up. We are talking about the guy who is married to his sister so when he cannot reach the brother in law why not just call the sister and ask her for the whereabouts of her husband?

Could have gone on a huge cocaine binge and is laying in the middle of some city naked. Probably wouldn't want to admit that on a public forum. Heck I'd give the refund + cash just to keep it on the down low.
