Did you even bother to read the original posting or did you just crudely react?

"If it was up to you, what would you require shooters to wear at a public gun range?"

That would infer that you own, manage or otherwise have the authority/responsibility to set such a policy. Do you understand that or should I parse the sentence for you?

The "F" wasn't for my benefit. It simply showcased your character -- or lack of it.

That t-shirt had better not be sleeveless and it had better be worn in conjunction with eye protection, ear protection and footwear that cover your feet or you're simply not going to be allowed to shoot at many ranges.

Don't worry though. You could always buy a t-shirt for $25.00 at the RSO counter that says: "No eye protection, no hearing protection, equals no shooting."

Why does that exile me to BLM land? Only control freaks should be permitted to make the rules at public ranges?
        Bull.

I shoot at a public range. Two of them actually. Both require eye and hearing protection and shoes. Quite common.

After reading this thread I have two thoughts. First, there seems to be a lot of "gang bangers" in So Cal; second, brass flinging out of semi autos cause a bunch of issues. My suggestions; close all ranges in So Cal and ban all semi autos at gun ranges.

Yes yes the tired old line. But the moment you fire yours and the percussion makes you jump because you are not used to it. Or mistake a van backfiring for being shot at.

Also would you require the deaf to wear ear protection? At one range my shooting buddy and me encountered that. Atleast this RO had common sense.

                Not bull.

You are comfortable telling other people what to do, which is clashing with the kind of people who don't like to be told what to do.

See my sig, you feel comfortable trying to tell people not to smoke, because you don't like it and a lot of people pretend to be libertarian until they find something they don't like, then suddenly it's ok for the government to tell people about this particular thing they don't like.

Not sure why you think you have any basis to impose your will about clothing. You keep vacillating, the thread is clearly about telling people what clothing to wear, but when you feel cornered, you trot out eye and ear protection.

Of course, you do so in the name of liability, of course, dangerous activities can be performed in California given appropriate signed waivers.

Maybe you are onto something there.

Though I also suspect that some Calgunners would call the guy on the left a gang-banger because he's an Hispanic with a shaved head and tattoos; and the kid on the right must be a gang-banger-in-training because he wears a hoodie to the range:

I have nine employees and even I don't like telling people what to do. Maybe I'd be more successful if I was more like the OP.

My mother always told me to be careful what you ask for.

Just one more piece of parental advice I stupidly ignored.

You mean like the 'F' in his obnoxious sig line?

They were " gun culture " types and were respected not only for their substantial skills but the gentlemanly manner in how they dressed and conducted themselves in public .

The fact a Calgunner felt the need to address the topic of a dress code, leads me to believe, collectively we need to clean up our acts at public shooting ranges .

I must say, I've never even contemplated using the ignore function... But the responses from the OP and the way he talks, I will now be using it.

I used to wear eye/ear protection, but then I grew a beard.
