Most all is common sense stuff. PPE of course, offensive clothing shouldn't be worn in public where kids are around(depending on your opinion of offensive). Closed toed shoes are a must. I don't wear hats and you aren't getting me to wear a jacket when it's over a hundred degrees outside.

That being said I mostly shoot on BLM land because too many idiots are at ranges lately. At least on BLM I can put as much distance as I want between my kids and I and them

Though I also suspect that some Calgunners would call the guy on the left a gang-banger because he's an Hispanic with a shaved head and tattoos; and the kid on the right must be a gang-banger-in-training because he wears a hoodie to the range:

I have nine employees and even I don't like telling people what to do. Maybe I'd be more successful if I was more like the OP.
The guy on the left can't be a gang banger. He has a single action holster rig on. Gang bangers only use legally purchased full autos and black guns.

And it's only early February, so now you can relax for the rest of the year!

Yep, self righteous condescending pseudo intellectual troll.

I've gone a few rounds with him over his theory that since he doesn't like smoking, he thinks it's fine to tell a neighbor across the street that he can't smoke in his own backyard.

He pretends to be freedom loving, then welcomes government intervention because its something he doesn't like.

Oh, that and he can't debate his way out of a wet paper bag. H trots out the superiority attitude and speaks down to everyone.

Disclaimer, I can certainly be abrasive and condescending, but this guy is a legend in his own mind.

Ha ha, I didn't realize our Uber Troll started this thread... I mean its like a thread he would start, but I thought maybe someone was actually wondering or serious.

I skipped right to the end. That explains so much.

What is it like to have a four page thread when you can only read about a page of the replies I wonder?

The OP asks " if it was up to you, what would you require shooters to wear at a public gun range."

If you reference post #5, it is apparent he is not interested in any other opinion unless it agrees with his.

I usually don't take much stock in what people say about others, preferring to see for myself.

But after reading all the posts in this thread I have to say what njineermike and the rest have said about the OP rings true.

The OP has proven himself many times to be an annoying little prig. Kind of sad in a way.

I've had disagreements with the OP in past threads !
( Yeah I still think Meryl Streep is a no talent skank that is promoted only because of her anti gun views )

However I think this thread has merit, and although I disagree with many views, its interesting to read comments.

Through dialog maybe we have a chance to further the " gun culture" and all rights associated with it.

I would request calgunners make your opinions known regarding dress codes and keep an open mind to all views .

I believe we should dress at public ranges like proffesional golfers ! Long decent pants, collared shirts and sturdy shoes or boots . For cooler weather why not wear an older sports jacket ?

Of course shooting jackets should be used for prone and field position shooting for the best rifle groups .
