If you are using Frog Lube for the first time, after firing and guns are dirty, do you simply wipe down with alcohol, heat up the gun and then apply the Frog Lube?

Is there a step I'm missing?

I use paste and lube. The paste is solid at room temp which wouldnt be as good as having some of the lube which is liquid at room temp with it. Once they warm up it's like butter both melt together and are super slick. I used frog lube on my hair clippers the other day. Every other lubricant I have tried works less efficiently once hot, but frog lube worked better when heated up and still extremely well on first start up. If you read several posts back about all of the firearms oils/grease I already own and have tried you will see how frog lube works better than just about anything out there.
NO, I'm not interested in your body armor, do not reach out.

Picked up my first 1911 (RIA Tactical) today and Frog Lubed her up... cleaned the packing grease off with mineral spirits then got everything nice and hot with a hair dryer. I applied the liquid to all metal surfaces and let it soak in for a couple hours, then wiped it dry. Then I heated up some of the parts a 2nd time and used a bit of the paste on the slide/frame rails, the locking lugs on the barrel and the corresponding recesses in the slide. One drop of liquid on the barrel link and one drop on the FLGR/recoil spring as per RIA's recommendation. The action feels super smooth, and the pistol smells amazing!

I used the paste and lube yesterday on both my XD9s and the Bersa Thunder. It was a fun experience and just looking forward to easy and pleasant smelling cleaning from here on out.

I bought the 4oz lube and 4 oz paste from Turners for about $25.

I have used froglube on my middy BCM 14.5 that has ran about 2K in XM193 and 1K of wolf 223 without any issue and I only use the paste on the BCG. My FCG has a red paste that came with my SSA and my bore and barrel get MPro after sessions of 500 or more (otherwise its just a bore snake).
