Just did the initial treatment on my EDC Glock 23. Took about an hour to do the slide, barrel, and trigger pieces. I did a double treatment. Heated, applied, dried, heated, applied, dried, wiped. Probably overkill but I didnt have anything better to do. It wipes off pretty easy, leaves a slick feeling on the metal. Im used to putting oil and it looking wet (in all the right places), it was kinda different for me not to do that. I detail stripped the slide, be careful not to get it into the striker channel. Some will get in there, it took a few minutes to get it out the best I could. a 9mm bore mop fits well into the channel to get it out. I cant wait to get it to the range. I think my favorite part is the advertised ease of cleanup after shooting. I guess theres only one way to find out.

edit: I used a toothbrush to apply and microfiber rag to wipe off. it worked great. this stuff smells really good too. now im sitting here eating mint chip ice cream thanks to the minty smell.

Oh, one more thing. My IWB holster has been a bit squeaky lately, so I put some FL on the clip mount bushings and the kydex to leather mounts, Ill edit tomorrow on squeak status.

I'm gonna start DROS on a SA 1911 Loaded today, and in 10 days I plan to detail strip it, froglube everything metallic, and "season" it in a crockpot like I did to my Sig P229. I've also baked me up a minty AR15 I built.

To test out FL's claims (but more so for gits and shiggles), I did my own non-scientific test and ran 1K rounds thru my P229 without once cleaning it. Ran flawlessly...no failures whatsoever. Cleaning after the 1K rds was rather easy. Most of the gunk wiped right off.

Doing the same test to my AR15. Currently, I've put 880 rounds thru it. There were a few FTF's, but I attribute that to me installing the hammer spring backwards. Weird to admit, but I'm looking forward to cleaning my AR after 120 more rounds.

Yeah actually now that you mention it I seen that.. I cant wait to use it on all my guns..

After heat application of Froglube, can you still wipe down your gun with silicone cloth and not mess with the Froglube's benefits?

Does Froglube prevent rusting?

Be careful with the cheap hair dryer, they can break pretty easily if you run them for more than a couple minutes at a time (I do the slide, frame, and other parts separately and let it rest in between).

I figured for the 5 bucks it was worth a shot.. Ill have it pluged into a power strip with a breaker jus tin case .

I heard or read or heard somewhere that frog lube was originally used to lubricate and clean rollor coasters but I first got it from my law enforcement buddies a bit over a year ago and love it. Use it in all my pistols, rifles and shotguns and they all are working great. Smells good too.
