My guns stick with me and I stick with my guns.
The only person that I would lend my firearms to without me being present would be my old man and that’s because he shoots better than I do.

I'm gonna let him know, and that he should buy his own freakin' ammo. I'm sure he's gonna bring some BS on how his friend's dad allowed his his friend to bring this and that.Comment

Ask him if you can borrow that girl for a test drive. I'll assume the answer would be the same. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

It's like when people ask to "borrow" a piece of paper or tissue, or cigarette (that's if you smoke.)
Yeah, like you're gonna return it to me.
Anyways, I'd lend mine to my parents, girl, and Uncle without my being there. That's it until I have a kid. Then when they're old enough, they can take anything they want except my Dan Wesson.

My friend who's basically like my brother lets me borrow his shotgun. But I make it a point to clean it and promptly return it after the range trip.
That being said I'm sure he'd let me borrow his Beretta as I'm more experienced than him and more careful.
However, I dont think id let him borrow my Beretta thats comped. Maybe the glock and shotgun if I had one.
Everyone else, the answer is no.Comment

No. And I'd DEFINITELY not hand a gun over to someone I've never seen shoot before. If you can't go along and they can't pay for ammo, it would be a no from me. I understand as a guy in my young 20's that he doesn't want a "babysitter" to tag along while he tries to impress girls, but guns are very expensive and very serious. There is no justification for the public servant police to be more heavily armed than the law-abiding public they serve...Unless...the government's intention is to be more powerful than the people.Comment

Yes, Ive loaned guns on two occasions. In both cases, it was to LE buddies who were in the market for that particular gun, and wanted to 'test drive' them prior to making a purchase.
Their LE status notwithstanding, I've been out shooting with both of them and felt comfortable with their skill set, etc. Had that not been the case, I would not have done so.
I dont have a 'blanket policy' on these things. I take them on a case by case basis.Comment
