I do all the time. I even loaned out my cbr600rr to my buddy because my hand is fubar'd for a month. I just have simple rules
Is my buddy ANY of these
    1: a retard
    2: a kid
3: doesnt know what they are doing
    4: isnt trustworthy
If they are any of those, then its a no-go. Your cousin seems to fall into at least number 2

You mean "doesn't know what they're doing" and "not trustworthy", right?

If my brother ask's to barrow my guns again i'm gonna ask him if I can barrow his car.. He asked to barrow my DSLR once too lol. He has a ton more money than I do as well he could go out and buy what I have if he wanted..

No.I have let folks shoot my guns, with ammo I provided, while I am with them. One exception is my son in law, hunting deer with ammo he purchased while I was with him.I would have given him that rifle anyway and still will in the future.I have paid a lot for my stuff and am sure the person that borrows like that would have no idea of what it would cost to replace something. Then there is the liability problem with your gun,if someone is hurt.

Only have loaned out one gun to a friend once, and that was because he was currently working as a range master. He wanted to borrow my Walther P22 to show his girlfriend how to shoot. I just said I wanted him to sign a paper saying that he would pay for it if anything happened to the gun, in response he walked to his car and brought back his Sig 1911 and said "If I break your Walther, you can keep this."

I've never wanted so badly for someone to break my gun before...

Maybe you should also take him out shooting and teach him how to properly handle and behave around firearms.
Thanks! I would take him out, only if he buys ammo 😁

I don't lend much out. No one borrows my guns, car, tools, woman, etc.

However, my grandpa tends to lend me stuff any time I go on a camping trip to shoot. Usually something different each time, and I go buy my own ammo for it and clean it thoroughly before returning it to him. I had to clean one at his house once as I did not have the proper length cleaning rod.

I will loan my firearms to one and one person only and that is my father, though he has never asked. Funny thing is though Im always taking his guns to the range, I have total access to his firearms safe though he seems to have no interest in mine. But that is a father/son trust and I doubt id ever allow that with anyone else. I have always found it kind of rude to ask to borrow a firearm from a friend, if you want to shoot what they have then you should invite them to come with you.

Cousin? Eff that. I would say no. But I would be more annoyed that he was asking for ammo. It would be like borrowing a car and not filling it up with gas after you're done with it.

I would only let me wife and my father borrow the guns from me. My wife needs to learn how to shoot well and I would like her to learn to do so with and without me at her side. My father taught me everything I know and gave me all the guns I have thus far so I would feel obligated to let him.

Funny s*#%, not only did he wanted to borrow the firearms, he wanted ammo as well...rofl!!! Just him asking to borrow them and wants ammo for them, is a flag that he doesn't know squat about this hobby, because if knew 2 licks about this hobby he wouldn't have even asked. If someone would to ask me, it would be a resounding HELL NOOO!!!

The only person I completely trust with my weapons is my father, and that's because (a) he's family and (b) he's familiar with every weapon that I own.

No blood ties, no training, no weapons.

Sure - so long as they are willing to leave a kidney for collateral...
