I agree with all of this as well, but in the first season, even the Pistoleers lost in the Pistol Matches. I think that a combination of performance anxiety coupled with being used to a tuned gun, instead of a factory gun, could have caused them to falter when everything was on the line.
My friends get on my case because I like to switch guns, calibers, and loads every month instead of just practicing with one gun with the same load. However, my trigger control and sight acquisition has improved greatly in the last few months. I am comfortable using a DA/SA, SA, and striker fired in 9mm or .45ACP. I am still trying to figure out DAO, it still gives me problems.
