The Christian school? I forgot about that one.

what day are you planning on doing this? I am very familiar with the NBPD and can tell you that you are taking a EXTREME risk by doing this.

I work daily with NBPD, good folks but yes, terribly misinformed. Just be prepared for the worse (sans being thrown off the pier ). If you plan on making a legal statement, carry your recorder and have the number for Jason Davis nearby.

I lived there in the mid 1960's to late 1960's. Historically they are like the SS. Long history of Gestapo tactics. Be prepared with cameras held by stealth friends and recorders. Make that a couple of each incase some are found out. Plan wisely or you'll be writing a letter to Calguns from the slammer.

That school is at 15th St I thought, but either way, the pier is at about 19th St, so he's pretty close.

And there is a private school on the east side of Newport Bl in the church. that is located also about 12th St.

Don't do it. It's bad timing and a bad idea.

You're trying to get a crash course in UOC 101. You will not be able to handle yourself correctly when NBPD hassles you, and they WILL.

If you want to have a nice afternoon at the beach with your family, leave the UOC at home. Having your children watch their father handcuffed, sitting on a curb, with hundreds of people staring at them will not leave for a very memorable experience.

If you want to UOC, learn the basics first. Join up with a group such as South Bay Open Carry and they will help you with your cause.

This whole thread makes a statement to the trampling of 2A rights.
Using gun control to stop crime is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline!
You don't have to get permission to exercise a RIGHT. If you have to get permission or can be told no by the government it is no longer a right. IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

We all know our rights have been trampled into the mud.

The difference between some of us is whether the full frontal approach works better than guerilla warfare.

Kind of like the old saying where the young bull says to the old bull "Let's rush over there and have our way with one of those cows" and the old bull replies "Let's wander over there slowly and have fun with each and every one of them."

Don't get me wrong. I agree he shouldn't do it with his kids there especially. But it is still wrong to have to worry about it. That is just like having to worry about police pointing their guns at you and detaining you for talking to people about going to church. Same difference.

i really hate to hijack this thread, but this is hilarious. i was searching to see if i could find any harassment vids, because i know nb is extreme (used to live in lido), ... but i found this.

a girl filming a helicopter 'following' her. wow.

i agree though, definitely not with kids, and probably not a good idea altogether over there.

I used to live about 3 blocks from the pier, and you might want to physically check instead of relying on Google Earth. There were two schools relatively close to the pier when I lived there 10 years ago.

An effective civil rights activists can not be so idealistic that they lose their grasp on reality.

It would be great if every PD in California understood that UOC is legal and e-checks should be brief and polite but then there is reality.

Some PDs abuse our rights and they do it with impunity because if a UOC activist gets their face slammed in to the ground and loaded guns pointed at them, that's good press for the antis.

It sucks but that is the reality.

UOC in a hostile enviornment like Newport beach is just a no-win proposition (except for the highly unlikely event that you can use your gun to defend yourself from a crime before the PD abuses you).

They do. Most chiefs just hate law-abiding citizens being armed, because then their fellow members of the International Criminals Union would be hurt or out of a job.

So they have the officers perjuriously claim qualified immunity, and we settle out of court instead of rightfully bankrupting their tyrannical asses.

                              So you can see reality.

How are UOC demonstrations going to change that except getting UOC banned?

That is what is going to happen.
