If I lived in SF I would be on my way there now to buy something from them, seems they went well out of their way to help out.

Most problems can be solved with a Project Manager. This is proof.
As an engineer, I am now professionaly obliged to not like you, despite the excelent work you did on this.

Feeding the Pack (My own Opinion)

IMHO YES, Oceanbob has done it! I cannot thank Oceanbob enough for his help. I'm just stunned that even a "Junior Member" of this great forum can get great help from more experienced people such as Bob. I felt like there were no more options but to take this horrible issue to the Calgun forum and see what happens. Surely enough Bob stepped out and got those clowns @ Bright Spot Pawn to finally start some tricks!!!! Bob, i can't thank you enough for helping a stranger out, well, not stranger anymore!

I remember some stating this establishment has actually had another person pulled due to some bad record keeping, but that's rumor. No one should ever had to treated like this. There are probably some out there scratching their heads or what not as to why bright spot acted like this, but i didn't feel like he treated me right, (sure i forgot to provide a copy of my state ID, but i tried getting one to them) I've paid 30 dollars for shipping costs, Oceanbob and I have done my job for me by calling City Arms and Bright Spot Pawn to interchange documents and i keep getting call back, or have other people shoot me away.

Also, some had also contacted me via pms, was more than willing to help. He offered to give Bright Spot Pawn a call to retrieve the handgun and ship it to my FFL!!! All he asked was the name of the FFL handgun make/model. Although i didn't have to send the P2K to scoutpup99, he nevertheless offered a helping hand and i just wanted everyone to know that.

As for MY local FFL: City Arms of Pacifica with special thanks to Colleen, a very nice lady who was communicating with Oceanbob this whole time, calling about 15 times back and forth, making sure Colleen had sent her copy of the FFL to Bright Spot Pawn, and then re-confirming with Bright Spot Pawn they they had received the information.

Colleen is a very nice person to work with, there should have been no reason for the people @ Bright Spot Pawn had such a hard time deal with such a sweet woman. Oceanbob and I both agree that Colleen is very helpful in terms of going out of her way, to make this happen for the GUN OWNER's sake!!! She was very consistent with returns calls back to Oceanbob to confirm the paperwork had been shipped.

I would also like to add that Dima, Uncle V., as well as Colleen has been fighting off 2nd Amendment haters for the last few years! They need Calgun's support and legal muscles to keep this wonderful FFL in business. Also because i want to buy more from them..

For those of you who don't know...City Arms was victimized by a group of robbers who stole many many gun from City Arms..and City Arms has a GOOOOD selection, Glock 26-35 sf, Desert Eagle, Sig p228,229, 226, some chromed out revolvers, Benelli m4, mossberg the WORKS!! All had been stolen not sure about the outcome. They have been through a lot, and we need to all the haters away from a great establishment like City Arms.

There are two locations of City Arms!
            Dima and Uncle V.

Almost forgot this generous offer from Bob and other Calgun members has chipped in and offered to pay my DROS as a Merry Christmas gift for being a calgunner.

Thank you Bob and Members!!! I really Appreciate this offer. A simply forum like Calguns CAN make a difference! The Project Manager just proved it!

I've bought several guns at Bright Spot and have never had a single issue. I've also done PPTs and internet purchases there. I would not hesitate to buy there in the future.

They have been on the OLL front line for a while and have been put thru the mill by ATF, DOJ, Riverside PD and Sheriff and have come out OK. I can understand why they were insistent on having the proper paperwork before shipping. Based on some of the things the OP did during the transaction, my guess is that he was not facilitating the transfer properly.

While the people at Bright Spot may have made some errors, it was wrong for everyone to jump on the "theft" bandwagon simply based on the OP's statement. They're not going to risk their FFL over one transfer that had 'fail' all over it from the time the OP shipped it there.

I'd love to see Brightspot come on here and give their side of the story. Not sure how 3 months of sitting on the firearm could ever be justified, but stranger things have happened. Glad to hear things turned out ok

At the very best this shows an egregious violation of what anyone would consider even the minimal customer service.

And I've heard good things about Bright Spot from many people.

I think it's natural for people to speculate (opinions) when a transaction doesn't pan out.

Probably Bright Spot made some errors; got busy; had other issues and might have dropped the ball on Fast Service. Most others have had stellar service from Bright Spot. I have to think this is a one in 500 anomaly on an overall good company that provides a good service.

The weapon arrived in good shape. Bright Spot did ship it.

I say we should let it go and get back to enjoying our Gun Hobby.

I am glad things came out ok. You are lucky that you were expecting the gun through City Arms. They are a great gunshop. I have bought several guns through them and have had great service. I am usually up in Pacifica once a week with my wife babysitting grandkids and guess where I end up for at least an hour.
