Why I hate Turners

What I find most interesting is that most people rarely ever contact the store manager of the store they have a problem with. In the age of internet, it is much easier to come home and complain about bad service on a chat site instead of talking to the store manager and correcting the problem. I have personally had absolutely horrid service at a few local shops and ranges, and after talking to the manager or owner, the service somehow improved! Imagine if we all did that!

Thats because its easier to ***** on the internet than actually converse with another human being in person. Think of it, if you actually live your whole life based on what text thinks about you, and you need attention, its easier to pick a common topic and raise negativity. Misery does love company mind you. Also I would guess that the majority of these posts are B.S. The reason I say this is because for example, I am a man. I'm going to conduct myself as one and not a someone who is too scared, intimidated or "oh its not even worth it, nothing will happen anyways" to complain at a place where I am treated like crap. If someone is truly messed with, they would complain to the manager. Both you and I see it all time. Hell, thats what the black shirts are paid for. A customer is unhappy and wants to fire off, the sales staff are the first to snag a manager. So why is it no one ever finds out about these horrible puppy killing, nun beating sales people until the voice of the internet give people the power to be heard? *shrugs*

No problems with San Marcos. They have always helped me out and have told the truth with no BSing. Signal Hill is a complete different story. Spoke with the manager who talked out his *****. Will I go to a Turners again? Yes. However, I will never go to the Signal Hill location.

Just got denied on an OLL transfer today at Pasadena. Same story, they don't carry that brand so they can't do it. They mentioned some employees had been fired for doing this. However, this being said, I have had 2 flawless transfers at Turners and will continue to buy from them on select items.

I was at Turners in Fountain Valley today. I was well treated, had all of my questions answered, and enjoyed looking at all of their BB black rifles.

turners made me proud recently as they were they only ones who were able to get their hands on a remington 700p in 338lm... im pretty pumped!! they said it will be here within the month!

If it's taking a month to get here, they don't have their hands on it yet. Sounds like they are waiting on Remington like everyone else.

yes but.. turners actually took the time to make phone calls and made things happen as oppsed to other places i went or called where i was just pretty much told "yeah right." except stockade, they are also great and helped me as much as they could.

Turners is great. I bought guns over there. And as a Thank You, they sent me a $10 off $50 for the next purchase.

San Bernardino store.

I walk in with exactly what I want in mind. I am aware that different manufacturers have similar products and I can use those to choose the right brand.

I go up to the counter and the salesman is HUGE, gray hair, and asks what I want. I point out one firearm. He takes it out, hands it to me, and asks for a credit card and my handgun safety card. I ask how this firearm compares to another brand.

He turns to another salesman and and asks him to help me browse since I am not serious.

YOU SCHMUCK!

I was serious, I bought a different model from salesman #2.

What do I need to do to convince you guys I am serious when I walk in? I have spent thousands in your store!

So next time FF asks if he can help me my answer will be "You are not capable of helping anyone." and I'll wait for another salesman.

Makes me wish they got commission to stay motivated.

Yes, they act like their the s**t, but they won't do this because most, not all, but most of the people working at Turners might as well work at Walmart and they can't afford a mistake. In such a sensitive position, why would you hire people without the knowledge of gun laws that it makes you put policies in place like this to CYA? The answer is the same reason these people are interchangeable with Walmart employees. Their not about selling guns and customer satisfaction like their ads would have you believe, their about making money, just like Walmart. For all of you that say you won't go there anymore there are thousands that still will, and they know that.

Individual stores may be better than others but they are still bound by corporate. The WC store has been great. Only one time was I given an "attitude guy". I asked about having a gun shipped from out of state and they said they don't do that, again, CYA I imagine.

I went to a local Independent gun shop in San Gabriel that I'm sure some of you know. There was a kid helping me behind the counter that looked 15. 4 out of 5 questions I asked were answered with "I don't know". The other older, more experienced guys just listened from afar and never said anything or offered to help, and he didn't even try to go to them for the answers. BTW, this shop was quite willing to do the out of state transfer, for $135!

I guess when your britches get to big you just buy bigger ones so you can move around easier.

The only problem I have ever had with Turner's is they wanted to charge me $125 to transfer my M1 from out of state plus the $25 DROS and another fee for handling my rifle during the 10 day wait.

The store near my is pretty picked over most of the time so I don't even bother to go there for ammo any more. Seems their prices are higher than Bass Pro on most rifles too.

I went to the one in LA near Woodland Hills...No one helped me and friend for over 15 minutes until I rudely asked for help. Yeah I am sales so I was justified to do so. They send me a newb who admitted to not knowing anything regarding guns and scopes. I was cool about that since he showed me what I was looking for...I needed help with rings a Millett I was going to buy. The guy said you need this and this...Then I said that should have rings and low and behold it did. Also the rings you gave me are 30mm and not 35. Keep in mind the store was empty. I was going to buy it then I said screw this...I did buy a Mako AK handguard set. Never heard of it but it was solid and top notch. I had to do some dremel work but that is easy and once on, it was solid.

Today or tomorrow I will go to the one in Garden Grove and see whether or not I get the LRS1 or the DMR for the DDM4 I have in jail until Friday.

spent allooott of money at turners fountain valley in the past. always GTG. ppt'd a SKS once too.
