Possible Stalker Situation

If you are ever chased around by anyone while in your car, do not go home. Drive around and call 911, or drive to a police station if you know where one is. Your pretty safe in your moving vehicle, why you would "hide behind a shed" makes no sense. If you don't have or can't afford a cell phone plan, you can get the cheap throw away ones at walmart and only keep it for emergencies.

I would think this would be common sense.

From what I've read of this thread I think you should probably not get a gun or handle anything that you could injure yourself or your wife with.

The problem here is YOU, dude.

I am a director. My wife is an actress. I say this to give you context. Yes, she is good looking. She gets all the negative attention (Positive?) That your wife does plus more what with the signed headshot requests.

When I'm around and it happens, it bugs me. But I'm a presence. If I catch it happening, I'll call it immediately which will range anywhere from a dirty look to the perp or a full on "what are you looking at"?

Now I'm 6'-3", 230# and a second degree black belt, so if they want to throw down, I'm ready. But none of that really matters.

When you stand up for your wife's honor, guys wll back down. I'm wondering why guys are heckling your wife when you're RIGHT THERE. Pretty bold if you ask me.

Maybe instead of getting your wife a gun you should get yourself a presence by standing straight, shoulders back, chest out, looking them right in the eye and asking WTF their problem is.

I can't offer any advice as to what you should do, only what I would do.

I would find out where this guy works, and go speak with him in person. As another poster stated in this thread, a little adrenaline dump on his turf may open his eyes that his actions are going to have repercussions. I wouldn't go there to assault and batter him, but I would be ready to.

If he was actively following my wife around I would have her know to call me on the cell and come visit me. I am only ever at 3 places. Home, work or the gym. I think this would only happen once.

I would much rather her come see me then go to the police. No offense to the great cops out there. I just know they won't handle the situation the same way I would...

If you are afraid of confrontation take some self defense classes. Seriously. Go to the gym, lift heavy, eat heavy, carry yourself like you shouldn't be f'd with. Work on your mindset.

Back when I was married, my wife was pretty good looking and she got a lot of male attention when out and about. It didn't bother me much, but twice I did have to set the situation straight with some overly aggressive testosterone meatheads. I'm not a big guy, but both times, the bigger meatheads backed down and apologized when I accertively, and sternly told them that it is now time cease interacting with my wife,or the police will be immediately contacted.

i dated an exotic dancer for a while and while i was dating her a couple of guys started stalking her and trying to follow her after she would get off work, got to the point where i talked her into buying a little snub 38, got her to go to the range with me a couple times a month before we went to dinner, and start carrying it in her purse at all times, one night a guy tried to grab her arm as she was getting out of her car, and she pulled on him, he took off, she called me, and i told her to call the cop's and tell them everything, they didint hassle her about the gun. she told them she only carried it to and from the car to her apartment, and when the guy was stupid enough to show up at the club she worked at, they called the cops and had him arrested for assault.

And stop going to these club functions that lets non members hang out with members even though the policy states that non members cant hang out with members. ***** just sounds weird....

That's what's not making sense.
If he's a member, the club has some level of control over him.
If they give him the boot, they have absolutely no say over who he does and does not hang out with. The club can restrict members from having contact with him, but they have no more control over him than they do anyone else on this forum.

instead of ignoring them and pretending it didint happen (*****ing out) he fronted them and instead of getting into a losing fight, backed them down whether its with threating to call the cops, or pulling peice, he got his results, they backed down.


why pull a peice for a non life threating situation thats just going to get you arrested for brandishing? easier to make the call and have the cops do the work for you.


p.s. seriously, stop being so mysterious, tell us what type of club it is, from the way your being shady it sounds like a hate group or a sex club...

Go to the gym and get big. Take some martial arts classes and learn some practical moves.

Any guy that that comes onto your wife/girlfriend and KNOWS she is with you has no respect for you and sees you as a giant P****.

Something is up with this whole story... as stated earlier she could be cheating on you or alot of this story is BS.

One time some guy decided to "stop by" my girlfriends and my house while I was away... Ill tell you what I never drove so fast to get home in my life.
The short story is this "stalker" had a knife in his face and now avoids her and I at all costs. Dont let people trample on you or your family!

If these guys are serious about messing with your wife you need to be serious too. Your job is to protect your family and property.

Yeah dude, why can't you just pony up and say what kind of club? You don't have to say the specific name, just what it's all about, or what it's similar too.

As for your situation, if someone was following my lady around, whether I'd met them or not, I would FIND out who they were and where they lived, and go try to have a civil chat to begin with (and your bro knows them, so you could easily get this info). If he wants to escilate it, I'll be happy to go as far as necessary.

Most people are big talkers, but don't want to fight, and especially given this guy has been more shy and surprised than agro when you've seen/asked about him, what are you afraid of?

Just to satisfy some curiousities, how big are you (height and weight), and what do you do for work? I'm not implying that you can't be tough if you aren't a big guy or work in an office, I'm just trying to see if you might be able to intimidate more than you're giving youself credit for if the cause is needed. Just remember, any time you threaten an action, from a punch to drawing a gun, you better be damn well planned to follow through with it if needed, as you just took the situation from a 1 to a 10...

I'm fearlessly guessing the club in question is alcoholics anonymous or comparable. In any case, I respect the OP's right to not post personal info. However, it's more than odd to come to a gunforum and seek advice on how to deal with his situation.

OP is coming to our forum because he bought a gun and now wanted us to tell him if he should use it. Cry for help type of situation.

We all have a feeling you have NO CLUE what you got yourself into. Mixing a gun in this situation WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING is going to put you in jail or worse.

Ask yourself some questions or better yet, talk to a professional who knows firearms and confrontational situation:
Are you prone to burst of anger?
Can you maintain your composure during a confrontation?
Do you know what to do in case the situation get volatile on the street?
Can you protect yourself or your wife or both of you?

Here's my contribution:
My former girlfriend was cute, really cute. (Sorry, as an ex- I don't keep her pics and she's married now, but she looked a lot like Tia Tanaka when she was 22.) Guys are always hitting on her at the clubs, at school, geez, even at church. No big deal, I trust her. If she felt threatened or uncomfortable, she's open enough to talk to me. One fellow in particular, Jason (yeah I'll name names!), a recent implant from Los Angeles to my town of Sacramento wanted to make friends. Sure, why not, though I didn't know this guy that well, but he was part of my social club and church.

Next thing I know, my girlfriend is telling me he's hitting on her. She already told him she's hooked up with me, but Jason doesn't care. She doesn't like his aggressiveness so I told him

"She said back off, Dude. That isn't cool. Lots of other girls here that are unattached and just as pretty."

Next thing I know, next week, he's doing it again. Fine.

"Jason, let's have a talk."

I tell him to meet me at Branden's Firing Range. I unload two full magazines of 9mm into a B-27. 28 rounds to center mass with 2 rounds into the head.

"Here, keep this as a souvenir from me."
He went back to Los Angeles the next month.

Not the best way to handle the situation, but I manned up and took control. I never threatened him in any way, but it was obvious I didn't like how he was behaving. I'm not a big guy but I'm built like Rottweiler. If I have to fight, I'll make sure you never forget who you tangled with.
